8th Ed. Lizardmen 8th in August

So 30 points for a flying unit of redirectors and you complain? I hope they stick with that in the new book, it is a huge improvement. Lizards need that redirector unit sooo badly, flying and only 30 pts for 3 is icing on the cake. They could be 15 points a pop and still be well worth their points...

We are strictly talking SoM here right?

3 terradons are 90 pts in standard play.

I'd like if EotG would be like in the old lustria book, a moving stone thrower. Could hide behind hill and fire indirect if facing cannons.

Yes I was referring to SoM, it could be a precedent.

As for the EotG, in my meta we play that large targets are visible unless they are completely blocked by a building. It could be a boon or a bust but I think it wouldn't be worth it.

It'd be awesome if lizards got a crewed lizard like salamanders that fired like a stone thrower with 24 inch range like skaven's mortar (it wouldn't have to be uber broken or over priced). That would make more sense than the EotG getting the stone thrower ability. I have a feeling that the EotG will end up like an empire hurricanum except it costs more points and is better in combat. Bound spell + innate bonus to magic phase or AoE buff to units around it. Maybe you could buy an upgrade to decide which type of innate army buff it generates, that would be really helpful in allowing lizards to have more competitive army builds.

I think and hope you are right.

What I seriously wish for is more ways of protecting our beasts against warmachines.... im so tired half our list options being bad choices if just half the points of warmachines are being present.

I know it already provides a 5+ wardsave against ranged.. but its pretty hard to keep all your monsters in that bubble at a time, and if just 1 sticks out its....well

:beaver:

Looks like the Rumors were spot on. <.<

Looking forward to July/August!

If we believe Hastings, we are getting bigger monster(s) ^^

^^ Haha, yes. A monster with breath weapon AND he's aquatic!

Hastings is usually right. Guess I better start practicing with my Stegs and Carnosaur a little more.

My guess is that new big guy will be the Dread Saurian,
And my hope is that because of its Ethereal option it will be a step into a more "shadowy" toolbox for LM
