Is there any good reference available for how the saurus wear cloaks (skaven skins etc) over back spikes? Is the cloak impaled, or split in half and tied, or just draped over ?
I know they aren't worn for warmth. But they could be worn ornamentally, or to hide a sloppy kitbash work.
If you check out the Scar-Veteran on Cold One, he wears a Skaven cloak. His back spines have torn through parts of the cloak. However, maybe your saurus could wear it off to the side a bit, like a half cape?
Plus, there is a website called Spell Crow (probably more than just this one) that sells fur cloaks & tabards for "space knights". Might be worth a look. https://www.spellcrow.com/space-knights-c-9_38.html Edit: I tracked down the another site when I was looking up something similar for a Scar-Vet conversion. I actually used the head piece of a Carnosaur for a cloak on my scar veteran. Had to trim some spines and tweak the head piece but I'm happy how it turned out. Would recommend
Yeah, I too want to try and give some of my saurus furs of jaguars and make a jaguar banner of milliput or green stuff. Found this one guy who had done something simular to what I’d like to do. I’ll post a link: http://www.coolminiornot.com/87527
Awesome thread, I've been wanting to have a go at this myself for a long while, my Idea being to have a cohort of 'Huanchi' themed skinks (The jaguar old one) Who all have jaguar skin cloaks and jaguar skulls over their heads, along with some possible ripper dactyls that go with them or something. I already have the shields and some of the jaguars that will be going with them from when I first had the idea and decided to pick them up. As Jaguars https://www.wargamesfoundry.com/collections/american-animals/products/gpr056-pumas And then these shields painted as jaguar hide https://www.wargamesfoundry.com/products/wp041 Spoiler: Jaguar warriors Was totally inspired by Aztec jaguar warriors Id love to see anything anyone does cloak related and for other things, so if any of you all finish a model with a cloak ect, post it here or on your paint blog.
