8th Ed. Lizardmen / Imperium Parallels

Some parallels I noticed when reading the Lizardmen fluff:

Dead guy in golden throne who manifests in reality through his spirit: Lord Kroak / The Emperor of Mankind

Warriors bred for war who can live forever unless they die in battle: Saurus Warriors / Space Marines

Priests who use ceremony to utilize artifacts from a bygone age: Skink Priests / Tech-priests

Artifacts detailing ancient information: Golden plaques from the Old Ones / Standard Template Construct

Crumbling/fallen empire who seeks domination of the known world/universe to enforce the Great
Plan/Emperor's Will upon the upstart races: Lizardmen / Imperium of Mankind <--- a bit of a stretch but what the hey.

Lol never thought of it that way, At least Lizardmen know our dead guy is actually dead and not with our claws in our ears screamng "HERESY!....LALALA can't hear you!"
