Eric,

For bases, I use the GW basing sand mix, but for larger rubble pieces, I use wine cork (cut up).

Kevin.

Awesome job on those Salamanders! We'll have to meet up some time so you can give me painting tips! :P

What did you use to keep the Slann Palanquin up? They look awesome, especially the temple guard.

Hey Kevin, I've been browsing through your Blog and I couldn't help but notice the base you were using for the skinks skirmishers. Is it a magnetic base or just a regular movement tray? Thanks in advance for the answer and once again great work on your army!

SeBM,

There is a magnet glued into the underside of every base. I play on magnetic sheet glued to balsa wood rectangles. Just helps for moving during a game, and transporting units to and from a game.

Hope that helps.

Kevin in Edmonton.

Larinus,

The slann palanquin is just glued to the plastic stand that came with the figure. Note that I never bother with superglue (CA). I glue everything with 5 minute epoxy...it never, ever breaks, loses grip, or otherwise fails. This allows me to get around the horrid business of pinning large metal figures as well...epoxy will keep even the largest Warmachine warjack assemblies together.

Kevin.

Thanks, where do you get your 5 minute epoxy?

Larinus,

I just buy whatever two-part brand the local hobby store happens to have in. I go through a set of tubes every couple of years.

Kevin.

Yeah great looking salamander unit mate, keep it up!

Purple Kroxigors? I like 'em! It's like a PO'd Barney with a big ol' stick! Great job as usual.

Inspirational, Everything that is!

I especially like the Krox's

What are you planning to do next Kevin? Can't wait to see some more units, would especially like to see some Razordons, even if they're not that good in battle. I don't think I've seen a single Razordon model on Lustria Online, but in my opinion, they're amazing models.

Yea I have a full unit in my army blog, but I am in a tiny minority that likes Razordons,

Ps. Great looking Kroxigors :D

Larinus,

Next up is a box of skinks so I can get my new Krox out as core units (and get my army up to around 2000 points). However, I'm going to take it a little easy this week and just do a Skink Priest with Feather Cloak, along with an RPG figure. I'll dig back into the big unit next week.

Thanks,
Kevin.
