As the group moved into the now illuminated tunnels, they could hear movement coming from behind them, it sounded like the shuffling of dozens of feet. The group had to make a quick decision stop and fight the unknown foes, or continue down the tunnels.
Ax-Rodriq reasoned that it would be better to attack the enemies now before they could get away. If left to their own devices, their mysterious foes could easily sneak up on the party and ambush them.
Ilok agreed, it was better to fight whatever was behind them now, then be caught surprised by them. He made sure the entire tunnel was illuminated, hopefully his enemies couldn't see because of the light. The Hunted
As the group waited the smell of rotted flesh wafts into the cave before anything can be seen, then slowly through the fog shambling figures edge forward, pushing towards the group in a mess of flesh, and bone. The zombies become aware of the group, and with dead eyes they howl moving to rend flesh from the lizardmen. Ilok channeled the energy of the light into a destructive force, at least destructive for the undead. Nothing happened but the light to flash and several zombies to falter. 'oldest trick in the book' Ilok thought to himself. The Hunted -8+3 magic.
((Sorry hunted no +3 magic, you only get some back on a blue post)) Six of the zombies burst the energy inside of them dissipating into the caves mouth with a foul smell.
((sorry for the delay i was ocupied whith home things) don kai turned still a little dazed and stumbled crushing one zombie underfoot and swinging hitting 3 but only killing one and creating a ring around him then stumbled of into the darkness
Hexec grabbed two javelins from their sheath on his back. Spying a zombie move to attack Ilok, he launched it forward, catching the zombie in the skull, crumpling it. Turning quickly, he saw another zombie lumbering towards him. Hefting his javelin, he planted it in the chest of the zombie, killing another. ((-2 Skill))
(P, woops. I just assumed it was blue for some odd reason, because it's a battle . Oh well..)) The Hunted
Ax-rodriq swung his sword in a wide arc that clove the zombie directly in front of him in two pieces. He stamped on its head and crushed its skull to make sure it would not rise again. A second zombie approached from his left, armed with the leg of one of its ilk. Dodging a lazy swing, Ax-rodriq swung upwards, catching the zombie between the legs and separating it cleanly in half lengthwise. Another zombie groaned behind him, and Ax-rodriq turned in time to see the creature lunge with its mouth wide open. Clenching his scaly hand, Ax-rodriq punched the zombie through the mouth, his fist erupting in a shower of decayed matter from the back of the zombie's skull.
Huaroc raised the specially tipped poison darts into the blow pipe's end and raised the mouthpeice to his scaled lips. With a powerful huff of air Huaroc's dart lanced the air and impaled upon the half rotted eyeball of one of the zombies. The eyeball exploded in a spray of yellowing viscous fluid before the zombie fell backwards. The poison worked quickly and was killing the zombie before it hit the soggy earth. Huaroc prepaired to defend himself for the remaining zombie horde as they advanced. His small dagger clutched in his hand to prepair to cut down the foe should they get through the rest of the group. ((-1 skill))
Seven zombies remained, unaware that their companions where decimated they continued their assault. Two swarmed on Ilok, one bit clawed and bit at him but its uncoordinated limbs grasped only the air, the second however grappled Ilok and bit down however landing on a hard clump of scales was unable to puncture the lizards skin. Looking at the easier prey three branched off to the other skinks, one clambered after Hexec who managed to move swiftly enough to get away from its outstretched hands. The other two chased after Huaroc, who managed to avoid them easiely enough until one tripped rolling under Hauroc`s feet and causing him to tumble as well the still standing zombie quickly launched himself on the fallen skink, and held on to him in sort of a bear hug, pulling the air from his lungs. At the same time trying to bite his exposed flesh, Hauroc was managing to move his head around narrowly avoiding the snapping maw, but his air supply was going quickly and with every second of the struggle he grew weaker. The final two moved toe the massive Kroxigor, the undead moved in and leaped upon him one clung to his leg like a wet rag had been thrown at him, it bit onto his scaly thigh but could not damage the hardened scales, the second grasped onto his left arm and began chomping down on his shoulder but yielded the same result as his partner.
Ilok wasn't adept in fighting in close combat, but he was very adept at getting out of close combat. His nimble body managed to dive under another incoming strike from a zombie, leaving it standing dazzled. Ilok tumbled around the other zombie, and rolled to safety. This went with such fluency, it surprised even Huaroc. Ilok then went back to the order of the day: casting his powerfull spells. He prepared a big blast, emitting from his body outwards; killing every undead nearby and maybe even more along the tunnel. A white wall of pure light emitted througout the tunnels. It wasn't very subtle, but then again; he didn't need to be subtle. The Hunted ((-2 skill to escape from the zombies, -8 magic))
Hexec grabbed another two javelins from their sheaths and ran at the zombies, immune to their chilling gazes. As he neared one, he jumped, pointing his spear and the zombie's head and driving it through with the force of his jump. Spinning, he launched his other javelin at the nearest zombie, catching it in the throat and killing it. ((-2 Skill))
With a swipe of his tail, Ax-Rodriq knocked the zombie off Huaroc. The force of the swing spun the Saurus around, and the zombie lept over the forgotten Skink and onto Ax-Rodriq's back. He plunged the point of his sword backwards and caught the zombie in the chest. As it stumbled backwards, Ax-Rodriq seized its head in his clawed hand and tore the head off its rotten neck.
