8th Ed. Lizardmen v Bretonians 1.5K First ever battle with this army

I'm brand new to Lizardmen having played Orcs & Goblins for the last 18 months. Tonight is my first battle with the army. thought i'd chronicle my progress as I learn how to use the army and make many mistakes along the way.

Have taken a list solely dependant on what I have brought/converted to date. I tend to build around individual models which I fall in love with. In this case I am starting with Lizardmen because of the Slann and Terradon models. Also in 10 years of warhammer I have never played a tournament game so I can safely say that I tend to play an all comers list for the enjoyment of the game.

Anyway heres the army list...

Slann, Loremaster Light, Rumination,
Scar-Vet, Burning Blade, Charmed Shield,
17 Saurus Warriors, Std, Mus,
12 Skink Skirmishers, Brave,
10 Skink Skirmishers, Javelin and Shield,
14 Temple Guard, Std, Gleaming Pennant,

5 Chameleon Skinks

I have played my opponents Bretonians with my Orcs and Goblins many times and so know the opposition really well, it's just my own army that i'm not sure on how to use yet...But the only way to find out is to play.

I will post the battle report of tonights encounter once its over with and you can pick my army selection and tactics apart after that

Bretonnians HATE Salamanders because they burn up their lance formation knights quicksharp. Ensure he does not manage to flank your Saurus, or they will die.
