Lizardmen

Hey guys, me and my friend have recently decided to take up the hobby of warhammer fantasy. Having known about it and dabbled about 10 years ago, we are both looking to get into the hobby seriously during our studies at uni.

I have decided to start with lizardmen whilst my friend has picked up the warriors of chaos (We're waiting for the new release of them before we start) - Anyway, just general tips would be welcomed as i've not played warhammer in about 12 years now.

Might seem vague/lazy but any generalizations would be good, Good units to take? Tactics with certain units? Is magic good as i love it.

Not sure if i missed any thing really. Expensive hobby no doubt but a good time to sink into it i'm looking forward to my lizards.

Welcome to the forum. It's good to hear that you've heard the call of the Old Ones!

The lizardmen are pretty versatile, but it tends to play magic heavy with the Slann. But it doesn't bother 'cus the Slann is the best non-special character caster in WHFB. So you really get to use the magic

There are lots and lots of good posts about the different units. So I suggest you start looking at the Tactics section. I'm quite new in the forums too and I've found that you can find really good tips here if you patiently search

I'd suggest browsing the Tactica Index, conveniently, the link is found in my signature. It's incomplete but it's getting better month by month.


Kharn has the right idea though. Most times when someone asks "What do I do about ______" the answer is "Shoot it with Skinks", unless ______ is a large unit composed of smaller models in which case the answer is "Shoot it Salamanders"
