Long time, no see

A long time ago, I was once the greatest community player in my town. I ranked 3rd in most tournament because my lizardmen army was the best. Sadly, due to cocky players and lack of attention for the lizardmen need for improvement. I decided to give up warhammer for school and sold it to another player. I love lizardmen for their power in combat and magic but GW hasn't put enough effort to make them tournament worthy.

after 4 years of retirement, I decided to check the lizardmen forum just for old time sake and input some idea that could benefit the future lizardmen and who knows? Maybe I'll start playing again if they get it right.

Welcome back. The Tactica forum is full of good stuff. I am the unofficial keeper of the Tactica index (it's linked in my signature). The painting forum is filled with many great painters full of good advice (I am a net recipient of said advice, not a producer of it).

You should check out the Lizardmen fluff section too. I would recommend anything written by Spawning of Bob. He is Lustria's cartoonist laureate.

It seems reasonably certain that the next new army book released after High Elves will be Lizardmen. The new LM book is widely expected to be arriving this Summer or early Fall. I think the 8th edition books are generally well written so the odds are pretty good the new LM will be acceptable for tournament play if the ETC people don't ruin it.
