I was strictly a collector of The Lord of the Rings Strategy Battle Game whilst growing up, but in 2013 I began to fall in love with the WFB lore. I soon decided I wanted to jump in and game. It also helped that one army stood out to me above all others - Lizardmen! The bright colours, the Aztec-y vibe, the Lustria setting, reptiles... everything about them struck a chord with me, so I jumped on board when they got their 8th edition update in August 2013.
I spent the rest of 2013 putting together my army and painting in classic Lizardmen colours. I continued to collect, build and paint in 2014, and got in a number of introductory games with friends. Towards the end of last year, I heard through a friend that a local game club was about to start a WFB campaign, so I signed up.
For my first few games, I had been coming to lustria-online for army list hints. However, I really want to have a go at putting together lists myself. That's my motivation to finally register and start contributing! After four games in the campaign, I have 2 losses and 2 draws. Next up is Ogre Kingdoms, so over to the Army Lists sub-forum for my first crack at a winning list...
