Looking promising so far then.... ;)

Righto then, how does the deadline of the 1st of December sound to everyone? Too long, too little?
Trying to give people a sizeable chunk in which to practice and get something made.

That sounds about right. It's sufficiently far away from the distractions of Christmas (and STAR WARS!) while still giving us time work on our entries.
 
Sounds good to me, gives me time to thing of an idea.
 
Well in that case, unless I hear otherwise, the 1st of december it is.

No, I think that would be unfair other members and I'm not happy with giving away pieces to people who aren't on the site, the same is kind of true if someone did/does make an account just to enter, enters and then is never seen on the site again, it kind of snubs the other members.

No, I didn't make a palanquin and the palanquin for that art would take me a long time to do (I don't want to make the first prize winner wait ages while I finish it).
 
Soooo... I can still send it and tell it's mine? Just kidding, I totally understand your point of view. Guess I have to move further than making only chameleons :-D
 
Ok, actually doing a palanquin will take you a very lot of time...
In any case... I have began my work of conversion this week... I hope to finish it before the end of October...

I hope I didn't sound lazy, I'm notoriously bad for taking on too many things (not just sculpting work), last thing I want is people being forced to hang around for prizes to be finished.

Well you can certainly enter, I've seen your work before and the members on here (yourself included) are pretty darn trust worthy and very respectful, so if you wish to enter, I won't object. :)
 
Heh, maybe next time I'll join for ships and giggles. Now I don't have time and my only sculpture - chameleons, were made with one mistake. I painted them but I still perfect colored ones than white.
 
As a new member, I can't wait to see what awesome stuff you guys put together. I myself am not very good when it comes to custom work... or even getting around to painting some of my guys... But hey.

I would really love to see someone do a custom Kroxigor, or Unique Old-Blood Hero of some sort.
 
I think I have to enter this! What with Lord Kroak being sold out, (and this sculpt being far better than the current sculpt in my opinion) and that oxyotl looks incredible! Never wanted second place so bad in my entire life! Nothing to lose but some really amazing stuff to gain! Now to start that project I keep putting off!
 
Well it seems pretty good on the whole with interest, how is everyone finding work, or ideas (assuming you're thinking of entering), do you think you all have enough time? :)

I'm struggling tbh, I can't get motivated into trying to make anything from green stuff, lack of skill and having so much painting on the go.

My idea was to take the forgeworld slann and convert him into a Lord Kroak (as I don't have that model)

We will see if I get the urge.

Well I know how my vote will go if I see a forgeworld Kroak! Haha! Seriously your stuff looks great. I will vote for that!

Keep me posted if you get to November without much happening.
Beyond that, have a look at the tut section as it might help (if I've done me work correctly).
