I only got three entries so far but a number of you have promised me additional entries. Get writing!
 
I'm a bit excited for this, i'm no writer but enjoy a good story. Is there still enough space for a submission?

There's always spaces for more submissions! The last contest had 10 submissions. The deadlines is in five days however, so get writing :p

We have five entries as of the writing of this post. A respectable number but smaller than we had before. Probably in future contests we will omit the "max of 15 entries" rule since I don't think it's conceivable to have 15 entries unless Lord King Crow writes three or four again, but now entries are capped at two-per-person.

Even something hastily written is fine if there is proper inspiration. I prefer a good story with lots of spelling and grammar errors over a technically perfect boring story (not that we've ever had such a story).
 
I don't know if it's added incentive or not. But I'm extending the deadline within a deadline. If you send me your draft within 36 hours of the final deadline, I can look over and make suggested minor revisions. Assuming 4+ people don't send me a draft at once, it's which case it's first come first serve if you want last minute editing/advice.
 
Six excellent entries, we got a few days left before the dead line. Can we make it seven?

Six is enough to justify allowing to votes per forum member. It's going to be hard enough to narrow down the list to my two favorites, let alone one.
 
Just got a last minute entry putting us up to seven entries.

I also got a last second entry from someone saying they would be a few hours late. I put an entry like that in the Skaven contest so I'd be a hypocrite if I didn't allow it here. So sit tight, we'll get the voted started fairly soon. Probably in 8.5 hours when it officially stops being August 10th in my time zone.

8 entries. That's a pretty hearty contest right there.
