Update 2: 10 skeleton archers built. 10 shields clipped and cleaned Everybody is on bases or painting stands.
Brought stuff out from the painting desk to do some basing here. I dare say she's looking like an army, lads.
Tonight's insanity. More prep for an eventual good day for priming. It's been too cool lately. 3 revenant heroes on horseback. 2 banner bearer, 1 champion. Also, I converted 2 "primaris" neophytes (like in the black templars squad) simply because I wanted to see if the conversion would look decent. It does, although I think I'm going to find more readily available shoulder pads. I converted a Phobos pattern marine (all I had on hand) as thier "initiate" leader.
As ll of the previously mentioned had been primed. Ive put time in on some Aztecs, and I futzed with some blu tack experiments.
that was the experiment. I bought the bitz pack because it had axes i need for my chaos army. I figured I'd play around with what was left
1 Otomi warrior 1 5th rank warrior priest 3 commoner youth slingers 10 1-captive warriors wielding machuitil and shield 10 skeleton warriors with spears and shield 2 Roman town criers. ------- That is "so far" today. All fully painted. Finishing basing before posting.
I've put paint to the remaining slingers, I've am also built a few more things. It's a very Aztec yule here.
Current build progress. Looking forward to starting my 2023 thread next week. 2 dudes with quaxolotl (umbrella like) palmitl back banners, along with two shorn ones to act as "bodyguards" / command base filler.
Select dwarf conversions. I have one final model to paint to closeout this year, and I guarantee you all will adore him. He is not pictured below, but trust me it's a cool model.
