I feel I need some context with Tombo, I leave for a few days and you all get into trouble!

Well these results look familiar... :meh:

Good work everyone I'm not well versed in art, so here are my critiques.

@Essmir. I really liked the shading and I like the Skink stands out noticeably but not glaring against the mostly gray background.

@SlanntaClause. I like the way organic look the palanquin and the way the tiny Skink seem to blend in the background and highlight the Slann's immense size.

@spawning of Bob. I like the erudite art reference combined with a tacky joke. Nice juxtaposition.

@Warden

@Bluefire. I like the mix of seriousness and whimsy. It's also kind of surreal.

.@details. I like the level of detail. No pun intended. Great texture. Every square centimeter of drawing is packed with something to scrutinize more closely.

@Hyperborean. If I could have a Warhammer or just Lizardmen animated series, I would use this and tell the animators and sketch artists (Like this!)

@n810. excellent detail and use of colors. This make a fine avatar.

@pendrake. I like that you evoked a lot of detail with a fairly simple color palliate.. Elegant in it's simplicity.

@Rednax This picture did a good job invoking a scene and not just a moment.

@Xynthia Daring use of a medium unusual for Lustria-Online. Looks like a lot of work went into this, and you can cuddle this art.

@Infinity Turtle. Skillfully drawn. A little darker than your usual but it maintains your trademark cuteness. All the "untitled"s bug me but I'm sure there was a cat-pun based title we could use. "The blessing of the sun god Chocat (Catec?)"

@Bowser. It invokes the light hearted spirit of your short story very well.

I think there is too much going on right now, this kind of got overlooked.

Been a few days since I have had time to check...

Is that the time? And the date?

The winner is - Apple Barrel Paints

And @Warden gets his perpetual trophy back. We really should have thought that concept through. :)

Congrats to everyone who entered. Very nice work all around.

Special congratulations to @Warden for successfully defending his title!

Are you going to rename the competition to the Warden Invitational Visual Art Contest?

Thanks for the votes everyone! I am pleased to see my work so well received. Well done to everyone who participated, I hope we can continue to have this contest and produce more works of great Lizardmen art!

Sadly Apple Barrel paints will not be making an appearance during the next visual art contest, simply because I am about 7,600 miles away from my art supplies for the next nine months. If I do participate it would only be with a pencil sketch, unless someone is able to add color for me using photoshop or some other art program (my skills with these tools are very limited).

Looking forward to seeing the next contest!
