Contest May - June Visual Art Contest (WIP Thread)

I have a beautiful picture in my head, but there are two problems.

1) I don't think my drawing skills can handle it.
2) Any time I spend trying to drawing well delay my upcoming novella (novel?) even more.

I need to do a collaboration with someone else and get them to do all the work while I give all the orders...that's teamwork.

Since the panda failed me, anyone know any tips to help me draw a stone statue? If yes, please provide me a link or something, public is fine. Hypothetically if I did do this, would someone want to collaboration with me to give the statue an appropriate background of a jungle during a rain storm. If yes, then PM me and I can explain the full concept.
 
I found this competition not knowing what it even was :P - for us novices of forums it would useful to have it on the little top box event/news feed thing where it has the written competition advertised.

Me and my fiancé are discussing it now, shes going to do a piece I think can she enter it through my account as a separate entry?

She will just need art and name.

Hopefully a cool name like Xynthia, Warrior Princess of the Swan-Sea, Wielder of the Sword of Burning Ice and Wearer of the Impractical Fantasy Armour of the Frosty North, but we can settle for Gwen or similar. Just not Ceridwyn. No one can spell OR pronounce that one.

She is welcome to post work in progress stuff on this thread using your account. Did you both see the previous comp thread?
