May Monster Mash! a contest from McDougall Designs

I do actually have plans to one day convert a War Mammoth... but when I do, it will not be rushed. I want it to be the absolute best it can be. A true center-point for my army.

Even with my Golden Serpent entry I think I could have done better if I had more time.
Hindsight is 20/20

And paint better
And faster

What is considered a monster? I have a Alpha Guardian that I have been painting lately and its come out nice. I would like to enter it but I don't know if it would qualify.

I can enter my Screaming Bell if that counts? I still have a little to go on it and I can also enter the Thundertusk I'm working on for this month as well.

This afternoon I spent a couple of hours at my local Games Workshop location and finally began working on my entry. The first thing I did, as I always do, is make a careful study of the model to identify the different paint areas and then work up a paint scheme on paper. At which point, I learned something hilarious. I built and primed this model pretty much immediately after I bought my Start Collecting box about a year and a half ago, and let it set on the shelf untouched until now. I dutifully noted it down in my master army roster though, as a Saurus Scar-Veteran on Carnosaur. Today, when I started studying the model, I discovered that it's actually a Saurus Oldblood on Carnosaur.

I got some painting done there, though, and, after I finish lunch, will launch back into here at my home workbench. I'll post a progress picture later.

Cheers!

question.. the carnosaur you see in my profile pic was finished literally 4/30/2018, but the oldblood and throne portions were built and painted on May 1.... may I enter it?
