This is just one of the monster mash list ideas popping around in my head. What do you see?

Personally, the troglodon doesn't cut it for 100 slaves. His roar is only good if you are in a good situation, you can't really count on it to hit 3 units at once IMO. T5 also hurts, i'd rather have a T6 steg.

Engine of the Gods seems nerfed. A Bit Expensive. Might help with casting cost of wyssans tho.

Bastilidons are good support for carnosaurs and saurus. If you double solar engine, you could have I3 saurus. They would help a lot in the magic phase that has only 2 lvl 1 skink priests too. Add a bit of threat to draw away from the wyssans/savage best etc..

TL;DR
Come up with a monster mash idea, explain the army's mechanics. Go!

The rules for Bastiladon Solar Engine says:

"All friendly units with the cold-blooded special rule that are within 6" of one or more Bastiladons with a Solar Engine gains +1 initiative."

Sorry, it doesn't stack.

You can also do a no magic list and fit three Carnosaurs into the list. I've tried a no magic monster mash with high elves and it's gone pretty well

Ah, darn bastilidons not stacking.

How do you guys feel about the troglodon?
It seems like he is best fit for a saurus heavy list.

I think the trog could work. But you have to make sure it's protected until it can roar. Not sure it's worth the 200 pts that come along with it.

I can't wait to field 7 monsters and see how it works out.

I don't follow... one of these days GW is going to use regular math, where 1+1=2.

also the Engine of the Gods did get slightly better on one respect,
it can now us all of it's abilities every turn instead of just picking one.

the kick in the teeth is where it says "...one or more Bastilodons..." They explicitely state that multiple Bastilodons only give a +1. :beaver:
