how do you calculate VP's for a monsters and handlers unit [i.e. Hydra]

if the hydra is dead and both handlers are alive do you get 100% VP's for the fact that the monster is dead, 50% VP's because the unit is below 1/2 starting wounds [that makes no sense but still] or 0 VP's due to the fact that the unit is above 1/2 starting models?
couldn't find any reference to this in the BRB or errata

Tough question. And since we've not been able to find an FAQ or rule that covers it in the BRB we go off what happens when a War Machine is destroyed but not the crew. In which case you get full victory points for destroying the war machine. Essentially the crew (beast masters in the Hydra's case) do not count for anything.

That's how we play it as well, as soon as the Hydra is dead you've got the VPs, if you get the Hydra to half its wounds then you get half the VPs
