My new army so far!

I have recently started collecting warhammer lizardmen. My army so far consists of 1 skink priest, 12 skink blowpipes, 12 skink javelins and 1 slamander hunting unit. I am going to start painting around 40 saurus soon with the same paint scheme as the skinks but maybe a bit darker.

Wow, you already have more painted pieces than me Keep up the good work! Your pieces look nice I would suggest that you paint the eyes though And the Salamander needs some contrasting color or some brighter highlights so that it stands out a little more!

I was thinking they needed eyes too. And they could use some basing. Other than that, they're very good. It was hard to see (because the photo, not the mini), but I like the spots on the lizard riding the priests shoulder. I also particularly liked the skin of the salamander. Keep up the good work!

Thanks for the comments! I am going to paint their eyes yellow (like i did for the handlers) and the saurus eyes red. For the bases I will start with sand and maybe add a few patches of grass.

Ironically, when beginning to start Warhammer I joked with my friend about collecting a pink Lizardmen army Now, I have a 3000 point, pink and purple Lizardmen force and, while yours is quite small, they are very well painted (better than me )! I love the salamander, you must have spent a lot of time on your army. As soon as you can you really should get Saurus, but if you wanted to go with a Skink theme I have several must-have items:

-Stegadon
-Slann
-Eventually some Terradons
-As many salamanders as you can
-A few Chameleon Skinks.

Some of these you should have by about 2000 points plus. I have all of them in my 3000 points and they can be potentially game winning (especially the Slann and Stegadon, but the terradons and chameleons are good for lone wizards and war machines and the salamanders for hordes.

Looking great so far, especially the Priest and the Salamander. Mine is also painted with a firey red, orange and yellow scheme and gets lots of attention when I deploy it

The models look good. I think that painting more and more will just make you better. I'd like to see the bases complete too. Keep them coming.

Half of my Saurus (15 of them), I have also painted a few more skinks and slamanders! Chameleons are next!

Nice work, although blue saurus are not my thing, I like how you've done yours. You should consider adding 3 more to the unit. I find that running them 6 wide is well worth the points.

Thanks! I am planning on adding another 15 and run them 5 wide. I have never played with them so I have to see how it goes

Wow really nice, I love the blues the colours really stand on and the high lights are brilliant. I'd maybe look at cleaning up the mould lines on the saurus crests. The Salamander is the jewel in the crown for me though, it just pops out at you when you view it next to the "blueish" army. Brilliant keep it coming!
