Blog My Warhammer Armies

Man that Banshee looks soooo good, the full ethereal color scheme REALLY worked well!

I've been thinking about picking up the Wight King would you mind posting some more pics of him? Looked like a really cool paint job

No I didn't used this colours... First of all I primed them white. Then I used Sotek Green as Base... Then Beiltan Green as shade... Then Moot Green as dry brush, Templeguard Blue as dry brush and then Skink Blue dry brush and I didn't painted them like Nagash on Warhammer tv but like my Nagash and my Black Knights that I painted 1 Year ago.

Pics of Nagash and knights please ;)

I still need to paint 1 Vampirelord but... who cares... I will also probably buy some more crypt ghoules... I always use my Skaven Slaves as Zombies... so no Zombie models yet
But for the moment I think that I can concentrate on other armys and models. For example my Templeguard and Teradons ( I will post a picture of Nagash later..) :)

Those look amazing! I see Charlie Brown and Snoopy are part of your undead army! Seriously though the blood and gore on that zombie dragon look incredible!

I like your army!

I am a big fan of the necromancer from the Empire Wizards kit. I used the kit myself to make my bretonnian hedge-wizards (with some casting to make multiple bodies). I like how you have painted the evil magical flames on the skull and staff, beautiful colors! Loving the transition from green to blue flame.

I also really like the custom banner and the entire grave guard unit in general. Maybe a closer look at those black knight riders?

Or maybe... Charlie Brown and his loyal dog Snoopy are vampire hunters??

That is a real nice force! You have a horde of horses there, how many are they?!

These all look incredible! The Saurus guard really stands out to me! I really like the colours you used for him. Nagash looks amazing! So good!

Nicely done. Love the armour for Nagash. Wish I could paint like that! Sadly my talents are all fiction based. :D:D
It might just be the distance from him, but I think maybe a bit of fading for the shoulder pads would look awesome. Maybe purple into black?
Don't feel pressured, I know that I would hate to go back and tweak my Carnosaurs - I'd be terrified that I'd do something wrong and have to restart it, and I can only imagine what that'd be like with a model worth a three-figured price tag.

Amazing undead army! (heresy) I like how you have painted your Black Knights. I really love how evil and ethereal you have painted your horses. Also your vampire lord has a truly epic pose! Great use of empire bits!

Also I noticed (and liked) your proto-Temple Guard! Paint scheme looks spot on, and I like the big of jade you have worked into the halberd's blade.

I have five of those old metal ones, when I got boxes of the new plastic ones I wound up chopping off the old spear-halberd tips and replacing them to look more like the newer ones. Looking forward to seeing more of your Lizards, considering how amazing your undead are turning out!

So yeah... thank you for all the positive feedback :) at the moment I am working on some Spirit Hosts for my Vampires but I also finished the base of my Troglodon... View attachment 19259

it might be a littlebit much blood and I feel sorry for the poor Clanrat on the base but...I like it ...
(and tom don't worry I'm from Lüneburg:D)

Great paint job dude. The troglodon (my favourite model in the new Lizzies range) is very impressive.
The blood on the claw is a great trick.
I love the idea of this blood driven mad blind spinosaur. :)

Thank you for all your feedback and tipps :) . @Jorgik There are 20 Black Knights in the Squad (I tried to give them the Symbol of the "Nagashizzar" troops, Nagashs main army and body guards: black pyramid with skull and another symbol over it)
@Warden I like the older Templeguard models a littlebit more than the new ones because of their spears. Also they look more disciplined to me (and not every of the new models has such an awesome skull helmet). So I bought 26 of them on ebay... and since that day I have only painted one :( .
@Huanchi I also really like the Troglodon model... but I think that it is too weak for its points in a Warhammer game (if you do not roll like a god). I still use it in the most battles because I like the model so much:D. Nice Argonier picture (it is an Argonier isn't it? would be kind of embarissing for me if it is no Argonier ;)).

So in two days my summer holidays will start and I will have more time to paint miniatures (yeay :D). In the meanwhile I have rebased the half of my Saurus and repainted their shields:

I like your saurus! Very classic scheme. I never painted the eyes on mine...

I like how you painted the feathers! Looks good on the blue standard.

I hope you do take part in the Golden Serpent! Good luck with your projects

Great job with the Temple guards. I also love the old minis. The new models are too close on their body due the left arm. However Yes. My avatar pic is an Argonier! ;)

I really love your Stegadon and Bastiladon! Great pieces and painting indeed. Well done :)

Really impressed by your work on the undead! You see a lot of sorta dingy, desaturated palettes for them, but you've really embraced that spectral glow sort of theme, and it's cool to see it run through the whole force.
