Blog My Warhammer Armies

That does look really painful... considering how realistic that blood looks. Amazing job painting this guy!
Agreed... very nice work on the spear and wound. The splatter/distribution of the blood creates are very realistic effect!

Thank you :) I wanted Gor Rok to look like in the story where he should return a plate with plans of the Old Ones from Dark Elve raiders... The Dark Elve boss pushed a spear trough Gor Rok, Gor Rok used the spear to get closer to the Dark Elve and chew chew chew...
But I only had a lance from an imperial lord so... Gor Rok had a lunch like the Emperor himself I guess ^^
@Jorgik I'm sure he can "pick" who ever he wants ^^
@n810 @Warden at least he didn't took an arrow to the kneel... he is still able to be an adventurer yeay :D

During the holidays I could still not finish my Templeguard... I primed them and finished 3 guys but the other 23 are still waiting... these guys seem to take ages! But I finished Tetto' eko and his cohort:

I'm also working on a Salamander and I made a Slann out of Green Stuff (because I have a Lord Kroak model and I thought I could convert his flying stone chair so that I could place a normal Slann on it when I want to use a normal Slann in battles. So I don't have to buy a new Slann out of resin.. cause flying chairs out of resin suck^^) but I'm not super happy with my Slann.. I think in comparison to the GW Slann he dosen't really looks so... slanny

:wideyed: very curious to see what your slann looks like when he finally starts to look slanny

Also lovely skinks! I really like the cohort skinks, and how you painted the orb in front of Tetto' eko.

Show us your Slann!! We will encourage you to carry on! ;)

Wow so many cool figures and ideas in the Golden Serpent competition... its just awesome!
Anyway the school started again and now I also have to focus on my abitur... but I will continue to work on my Templeguard and my still not so slanny Slann! For now I finished Sullivan the Sullamander (get it? cause his name is Sullivan and he is a Salamander so now he is a.. ok nevermind) open the stage for Sully:

Sorry.. I had to do a lot of stuff for school so I just saw today that I have won something in the Golden Serpent thing.. yeeaaaaaay :woot::)
I will post a picture of the Slann when his Templeguard is finished.. but anyway I decided to use him and I also painted 7 Templeguards since the last post :D
I should probably post some images of my Skaven because I am really painting lots of stuff for them in the last few months..
But anyway first of all an image of my Golden Serpent model.. Paqteqqueq the son of Coatl:

Really impressive work all over! I love your gor-rok model! I really like the lore aspect with the spear through his body. Great thinking there (I hope he's okay though)... I love your tetto ecko aswell. Especially his crystal ball. I think you managed it really well. Do you mind sharing how you achieved the look? :) Also cool salamander. Nice original paint scheme. And congratulations on your golden serpent model. He's awesome! I think you really nailed the feathers on him. Great transitioning. I need to get good at that :)

The feather scheme looks amazing! That cold one is incredible. Great detail. These just look so good

I love the story behind your model, very well deserved prize!!

man I have been seeing such nice models done here I might need to redo my models with plenty of feathers or more stormcasty...

Fantastic model! Great amount of detail on the base too. Also love the headdress and the dragonfly-snake-with-feathers thing you artfully attached to his skull totem-pole. And a fantastic amount of blood, Sotek would be proud.
