Blog My Warhammer World Avatar and Her Strange Friends

I just noticed something rather disquieting on the back of my figure's packaging. Apparently it causes cancer. Hopefully, that's only if you eat it.:wideyed:

Well that's an odd warning... why do companies insist on sculpting models from plutonium? I get the glow in the dark is cool and the half life is incredible, but it just isn't safe!

My guess would be that it contains lead. Older metal models were known for it.

Yeah my D&D toad contains lead - and afew of my pewter ones say lead free pewter after they discovered it was harmful but im sure its mostly if ingested because it used to be in pencils too

But it is glow-y, and that's enough for some people. You can't ever pick it up for assembly and painting, or even get anywhere close to it, but it makes a great nightlight.

Must be the power of voodoo...

You remind me of the babe!

Just about everything causes cancer :p its a natural mutation of cells and background radiation and things mean it happens to most organisms anyway -some are just more prone to it or get it by chance - there are lots of different types though too. Some animals can't get cancer though maybe lobsters I don't know - essentially lobsters can live forever too.

Some things seem to cause cancer and cure them at the same time. Never listen to the media, unless you agree with what they're saying. I knew about the potential lobster immortality, but I've never heard about them not getting cancer.

Most likely. I have got the weird dusty feeling I get from handling older models on my hands. I'll just have to wash my hands before I finish off my Skittles. :hungry:

That might be a prudent course of action to take.

Well, just realised I haven't posted on this blog for ages. Sorry about that. Been busy with Sixth Form and preparations for Ball. I just wanted to say that I'm going to post the fluff for my Lizardlady after the end of the painting competition, 'cos I want to do everything in my power to stay anonymous. I don't like influencing people. Unless that results in cake. ;)

Look foward to reading about it :) and seeing your entry loooks like so many people are getting involved in the competition it will be a showdown to behold :D

I'm looking forwards to seeing what my first-time Greenstuffing is competing against.

IM first time green stuffing too ^.^ but 90% of what i first made isnt being used in my model anymore :P

Whack her with it the cake is a tantalising truth shrouded in a layer of lies but ultimately it has to be true

That was an empty threat. I don't know where it is. Maybe I should use the phonebook instead? Don't worry, I'm only joking! :angelic:

I made some small elements that I havent attached and filled some gaps is all - once i've glued things together I might try some more detailed work but I have so much to do already that I don't know how to do. I wanted to put some wounds/scars in mine with greenstuff but im not sure if I can do it well enough it'll be on the backburner.
