I was looking at your "paint hammer" page again, seems like a really great record to keep track of your forward progress through the year! I do something similar with books I read during the year (goal is 2 per month, so far I am on track), so I think doing something like this for minis is a great idea too!

First found it when I was looking through Instagram, took ages to trace it back to the source where the blank is posted. Then I forgot, then I found it again. Thought I would link it here also for others as it's a very useful way of keeping track, last year I had problems remembering what I had done.

It looks good, kind of like an oriental dragon? What miniature range is it from?

It's from Wyrd Miniatures, from Malifaux. I would guess a Chinese Dragon due to it being from the Ten Thunders faction, they call it a Serpent though.

Been busy working out colour schemes again for armies, this time for the Brayherds/whatever I decide to ally with. I did had the Beastlord that I painted before but should I really go with that colour scheme, well it's more of a natural Beastmen colour.
Was mostly thinking what realm, colours and fluff. Problem when coming up with something for an army that isn't lizards. I usually end up basing them off something video game wise

Edit:Well just saying that and listening to some music, might have got something

So it begins

Going to be interesting painting this guy

Hmm, will battles in GW events always be Malign Portents ones from now on, i.e. ones that require that you use the Lord Ordinator if you play order? Because if so I was wondering if I could get away with making a Dwarf version to go with Fyreslayers.

No clue myself, when I can I mostly take part in the local GW. They did do a doubles yesterday but no pictures yet of the event. I did see a lot of people make their own Harbinger for their armies but I'm not sure whether they can be used for official games.

Did a doodle last night of what I want 'The Fishermen' to look like

It might just end up being a replacing the Ork head with a Beastmen skull. Feels normal now to replace things with skulls, they are just easier to get a hold of, Was planning to use Gor heads but they will be harder to get hold of for a decent price.
It's actually between using the Savage Boarboys or change the idea to Mournfang units but I think the skulls are a tad small for the Ogors. I do have spare Minotaur/Bullgor heads but not enough for the unit that you get given in the box.
It alllll depends.

Nearly there with the Ordinator, the final details are kinda being roughly done. I really have no motivation at the moment so it, just needs his basing done. I usually have these moments so it's normal for me but deadlines are not helping.

Here is the Lord Ordinator for the painting challenge Part 2
IMG_20180303_102228802.jpg

They posted the next part and now I'm a little stumped:
"For this month's painting competition, it's time to round off your starting force with a larger model of your choice – perhaps you're looking to add the Celestant Prime to your Stormcast Eternals, or maybe your Death army is in need of a Coven Throne to support it. Whatever you choose, send in your pictures"
When the leaflets went around at local stores it was a selection depending on what you went with, sounds like you can add anything to the starter force now and does it have to be a large model, hmmm I will have to ask later. At the moment the Rippers are primed with the bases partially painted

I like him. The beard is cool

Next on the painting list is the Troglodon, just got the SC today. I have quite a few of these now it's quite surprising, but eh. Free models. That should the last of the painting challenge for Malign Portents, should be working a bit on painting some birds afterwards. It all depends on what happens.

Got some more miniatures in the mail and gave some money to my mum to bring me back a Thundertusk, ended up being the SC instead. Thundertusk and Mournfangs cav.

The two other miniatures I got is a Kuvar Reaper and Vanatoor Guardian from Pegaso Models

WIP work on the Troglodon

Colours looked a bit washed out, daylight likes to wash everything in pictures.
Also got some bird ghouls primed ready for painting.
Early on the thoughts here, but currently writing down ideas for this years Armies on Parade, the amount of times I kicked myself before about it. I wish to get a good selection of miniatures done so I can be ready and do the board in time. I noticed that my local store like to go crazy with their boards, did see a massive pyramid one with TK.
