So... thanks to @PhoenixTheCat pointed out the wired angel of the hand... I rearranged it... looks much better now...

And I wanted the sun blood to look more ornamental... so I added some jewelry and something that's gonna be a kind of loincloth...

The ornamentation helps I think, I like the neck-piercings.

Here is blondy... his scales ready for a wash before some final highlights... hope it won't become a too skiny kind of coloration... so I'm debating whether to use agrax or seraphim for the washing... recommendations accepted until 2pm central European summertime... ;)

    I'd recommend Seraphim Sepia.

Quick start painting another star priest... need to get a new one soon... or better two... am hungry for conversions!
Here's priest number four... I guess he's number four... could be he's actually number one... but he's gonna be called "some name - bearer of the black scales" after being finished anyway...
Though the scales are grey at the moment...

Gotta clean up the skin around the eyes a little... but the wash is still wet...

I don't know what color I should use for the crest of the priest in the post above...
I'm torn between light grey, a yellowish green or a light red/pink...
    Suggestions very much appreciated! ;)

Go with the yellow green, it'll add some contrast to the skin and also provide a visual link between the green skin and red feathers.

I agree. It makes a nice contrast and it is consistent, since that part is just regular skin IMO.

Good arguments, guys. Green has also been my favorite... also looking at my other priest, it seems quite consistent to use the skin color and brighten it up a put for the crest... Though I have some skinks where I used a different approach...

I tried the yellowish green an I think it looks quite fitting... I dropped the idea of reddish tones cause that'd be to much red and take away some of the effect the red feathers have as only red parts of the model apart from the eyes... lighter grey with a black pattern could have been cool, too... fitting the color of the scales and (in my imagination) making the feathers really stand out... but I guess the yellowish green was a good decision...

Scales are going to be highlighted and the feathers will be brightened up a little, too... also I'll have to remove the two orange dots on his left side and repair the tip of the tail later... then claws, gems and teeth... I guess I'll paint his staff separate and then assemble him completely...

It looks great. I would try highlighting the feathers with orange now to tie it together more.

Found all four of the guys... so it's actually number one I'm working on right now... number two is that brownish guy with just four feathers and the horn instead of the big feather... number three is the red firey guy... he's wearing he's wearing the mask from the terradon kit and I moved his staff arm to have a different pose... not 100% cool with the painting on this guy... technicaly not the paint scheme in general... definitely going to rework it on a later date... number four is the one and only intact one of the group... he's next on the list... going to keep some kind of purple skin with a white head and neck... no idea if I'm going to strip him before or just try to improve what I've already done... definitely going to get me at least two other priest in not so far future... can't stop! Won't stop!

Can see the highlighting much more in this shot. The skin tone on number one is by far my favourite.

I like the horn on number 2 too, that's interesting. Though his feathers don't really do anything for me, the skin however is nicely textured.
