Blog Ndege's painting and conversion lab - Nuff said!

Yes. Save some money and get one soon. at the moment I at master's school. Full-time and so there's net much money to get all my models together... And time... Though school just started and landscaping is a broad field I guess the amount of time I can spend for the hobby will shrink to a minimum.

But if I get one I would like to try to paint it like the turtle in chicken lips thread

Hi here my new TG colors and my old blood. Both not finished yet.

That's it for today. Will write some more tomorrow morning when I'm on the way to school.

Good job on the painting. I also really like the jungle pieces you made. Are you going to be using them in conjunction with another terrain piece or on their own?

Hi. Thanks.
I don't know how I'll use them I wanted to create a platform for them were you can remove them if you want to place a unit in tere. But as I look at the pics I also like them as single pieces...

Hi. So here the promised words about the pics above.
The TG was painted in a light grey and the scales in a color called light brown. The gold had an underpaint of ocra and the silver stuff was underpainted in a very light grey. Same the old blood. The OB got a green skin ( don't know how it is called atm) and light purple scales. The TG was washed with black on skin and scales, what made him a bit darker and lets me use the original paint for a first layer of highlight.
That's it for the moment.

I here a pic of my spear saurus alpha/champion.

So. Tell me what do you think!
I'm not sure if I can be 100% sadi

Looks good but I don't like to say this but I will, I think your using too many colours, have you got a model you can try a little experiment for me, saurus warrior maybe?

If you have please do all his body green, armour and weapon gold, teeth, claws and spikes white or cream, weapon shafts brown or black.

Then apply a black or brown wash all over the model, when dry, drybrush each area with it's base colour then post a pic.

Ok. Will try that this weekend. I think onesaurus is left. ;-)

The totem looks like it would do more damage than his weapon wouldn't want to be hit by that

Yes... That's true. Dropped it once on my foot by accident and still can't walk properly again. ;-)
Was first thinking about giving him a shield instead of a weapon but than I thought a weapon looks cooler... Still trying to figure out how to let him carry a shield on his back or so...

@Crowsfoot sorry didn't find time for the experiment this weekend... Did just a little bit of glueing... Maybe I will do something during the week.
@is4evrdead thought so, too. But he's got this spikes on his back which are only leaving space for a skink's shield... But maybe better a star buckler instead of a stardrake shield then no defense at all.

Hi. Here is what I experimented. ;-)
Ok, I painted the scales ocr instead of also green. But I think it's nearly close to the instructions. Teeth and metal could need a wash again cause I repaired some there. Here he is my on my opinion best painted saurus warrior.Sight_2015_09_03_210141_476.jpg Sight_2015_09_03_210114_577.jpg Sight_2015_09_03_210209_186.jpg
What do you think? I see an improvement... ;-)

Hi out there! Tried around a little bit an finally found my colorsheme... My saurus will come in green grey and brow. Only the leader of a unit will stand out by having a different color. Also tried on of my terradons. Thought that blue would be a nice color for them. More pics when work is done.
