Thanks for the nice words!
I'm actually not doing the architecture part. It's the non a academic way. ;) it's called agrabetrieswirt in German... :)
So in the real world I would have the executive part of the work. Like calculating masses out of plans by using the knowledge of "the common way of the art of construction" or ordering material depending on time and money calculation... Stuff like that..
We also learn the planing stuff on a basic level. Like drawing and cad.
It's like the German Meister in (no not football/soccer ;) ) other branches...
It also gives me the education permission for the job of the landscaper.

Oh I forgot the most important part!plants! We learn a whole lot of plants and their soil fertilization flowering dates maximum height and so on... Got a list of 200 summer flowers for dry and sunny places... And 120 for half shade and shadow... And then for moist soil 100 for sunny places... And so on...
And that's only summer and flowers... Trees and other seasons yet to come... ;) things that some architects seem to forget directly after finishing thier studies... :P;)
 
Haha, yeah, the landscape tends to be pushed to an afterthought so often! That's why its good to have a firm with both architects and landscape architects in them!

I'll stick to the skin-color of green and grey for the saurus and like always the champion standing out by having a special color. Riders get blue spikes on their back instead of red or yellow like the Infantry... Oh an the cold ones themselves.. Ought to be kind of creamy white... Again a problem with the self made wash... Should go and get some of the real stuff to avoid...
 
Lookin' good! You can always tone down bad wash jobs by drybrushing over it (once dry) with the initial base coat color. That "softens" the abrupt color change and makes it blend a little more evenly.

We all suffer from starting loads of projects and not finishing them it is the nature of the beast, for this very reason (and my growing chaos horde) I have put loads of my Dark Elf stuff on ebay, temple of skulls, my watch tower and probably more items as I sort through over the next week or so.

I have 15, yes 15 mini's on my painting table all looking at me with puppy eyes wanting to feel loved!

And 60 chaos, 60 DE, 20 LM and various other projects all in drawers!!

Don't know yet... Though about trying some brown wash maybe some dark green to make it look old. I think I will make some experiments on some spare material.

how can you let bamboo look like wood!? ;)

Make a big cup of tea no milk, let it cool then apply it over the structure it will soak in randomly and stain the wood, then apply washe's, detail etc.
 
I was thinking something like that when I had my morning cup of coffee...
Any of suggestions on the brand got Darjeeling and lady grey. ;)
 
Finished the walls and started the second platform... Should finish it first and then give both parts a cup of tea before fixing it on top. Will end up quite big when finished... Was not intended when starting the project, but plans change sometimes ;)

Ok. I'm quite creative in the last days...
Tried the tea but that didn't work as well as I wished...
I now have just used some of my self-made brown wash in about 3-4layers and on layer of the black wash to make it even darker... I'm quite satisfied with the result. After my wife's birthday tomorrow I'm going to put on some green wash on some areas and maybe some green color to make it look like it's been standing in the jungle for some time...Sight_2015_10_16_204028_609.jpg Sight_2015_10_16_204015_337.jpg
