Blog Ndege's painting and conversion lab - Nuff said!

What about some bits from a steggy kit, there are a couple of nice banners that would look good on the priest.

If I was going for one of the three, first one but I would then add a skull in his other hand or a orb.
 
Have no stegadon kit... Only the old metal steggi which has only a single banner. Will see what is on my mind tomorrow evening... At the moment things are out of range for doing something so I will have time to think about that...
Edit: Got an idea! Maybe I will kill some of my swarm snakes to create a staff for the priest... Lets see when I get home today...

My baby girl is sick so I had to stay at home today. So while she was sleeping I had some time to get something done on my tower... Think ill try a little blue gloss in the eyes to make them look more shiny... And I want to try black feathers... Any tips on that? Wanted to use a dark purple for dry brushing them so that they get a kind of strange black with purple shine... Lets see... ;)
 
Left and the middle ones. As Bowser mentioned, they'll look better after painting, especially the first one. As for the GW motto, don't forget that skaven skulls are the best choice of skulls you can get for your lizzies, and they are cheaper than demonkin skulls ;)

Edit: I should post this few days ago, as it seems. I think the Yoshi theme on this Saurus is just perfect. The umbra priest (right one) also looks great. And those snake heads on staff :D

Yes! Yoshi colour scheme is the way to go hahaha! That saurus seriosly does look really cool! As for black feathers, ravens feathers always look quite oily. So almost a metallic blue and purple to highlight. Almost like a burnt iron look from a hot gun barrel or torch.
 
Yes! That's what I meant... Oily shining look like ravens feathers. Metallic seems right for this. When I m home I'll go into my laboratory and let's see what comes out on this... I will mix purple and silver and it will live! MUHAHAHAHA... LIVE! ...sorry... Seems I read too much skaven fluff the last days... muhahaha...
Edit: Now that you mention it... He really looks like Bowser! :D
 
Looking good Tom, ;)

For the black feathers try coating them light blue (2 thin coats if needed) then highlight with runefang silver, use a detail brush or drybrush if your not confident yet, then a light Nuln oil wash let it dry and avoid puddling, then apply a spot wash of nuln oil at the base of the feathers, lacquer with gloss so they look wet ;)
 
Thanks! I mainly don't us GW colors at the time, so would any silver do the job?

The hero after having a wash... Used nulin oil on most parts and agrax earthshade on the helmet and weapon... Mill try a little thinned down crimson red on its tip later to simulate some dried blood...Sight_2015_11_11_224542_280.jpg
