So, I have a large problem.

Games Workshop no longer produces Necron Abyss.

I have an entire army that needs this color, or something pretty darn close to it, to highlight its black portions, which are most of the body.

The current Games Workshop replacement, Kantor Blue, is worth diddly to me. I tried it, and it's stark, living up to the Crimson Fist color the name hints at. It's not what I need at all.

I tried Home Depot, which only mixes latex paints (at a friend's suggestion), then Sherwin Williams, which could only give me a viscous gloss varnish that matched the color, but would have been awful for highlights.

I have a pot of this paint, thanks to another friend, with which to color match, but that I have not been given to use. Does anyone know of any company that can either create more of this out-of-production paint for me, or sell me an darn good equivalent?

not sure if it's right but I think Hasslefree started stocking the old coat d'arms range which IIRC is what GW used to be. Might be worth a check

Try running a search for necron abyss images and click on a few pictures of paint pots in that color - some lead to webstores for various online retailers that still have pots of older GW paints available apparently. I have no past experience with any of them and have no reason to endorse any of them - just a suggestion to get access to some extinct colors of paint. They also may be breaking GW's rules in some way, so I'm reluctant to rat anyone out.
It shouldn't be too hard to find someone on the web or even ebay selling necron abyss.
Good luck in your quest.

Also found quite a few local toyshops which stock some GW products often still have the older paints. Scored a few pots of charadon granite and adeptus battlegrey from my local :D

So it might be worth googlemapsing some local stores which have gw and seeing what they have.
