Help Need help.

Currently struggling with a paint scheme for my dread, i started with the idea of a green blue scheme like a iguana however as you can see the more natural green doesn't offset very well with the bright blue.

The blue needs to stay as its painted over the green and i dont have the energy to strip the model but has anyone got suggestions for what colour to put with it/ any suggestions on how to get the colours to work together.

Where they meet you could use another colour in a pattern to break up the line, maybe adding stripes.

Yellow maybe or red?

Another way is too glaze where they meet, a blue glaze onto the green to soften the line, it would take quite a few coats but let it dry completely between coats.

Took the plunge and changed to full blue (thank god for airbrush thinner when painting)

Still need a second colour, what about purple?

I think a mottled purple over some of the blue would work.

I actually like how it looks, at least on the picture.
But yeah, a light blue glaze and then some white highlights on the most raised parts would look pretty cool I think.

I might go with a lighter, whitish shade on the underside of the model (belly, throat, bottom of tail etc). It tends to go that way in nature, and it will break up the blue a bit.

COOL model dude! i do like it, its gonna be awesome when finished!

when Im finished with drybrush I use some wash (color depends on you) to merge the colors of highlights and recesses. I even do many back and forth actions of drybrushing and washes depending on the model... and at the end i tend to put the model under cold running water ( shower or in sink) the drybrush leaves dried pieces of pigment where i dont want them (for instance in red mouth i had white dots because dry brushing teeth) my dinos: http://www.lustria-online.com/threads/scaly-cohorts-from-ziggy_paint-the-beginnings.23117/
