Hi all - had made a few posts in the forum of recent, but just realised I never introduced myself!

My names Tim, and I'm from Brisbane in Australia.

I used to play 40k many years ago (like back in 2nd edition, maybe a bit of third), and played Eldar, enjoyed it a little bit, but much preferred Warhammer Fantasy. Made a Dark Elf army but finished school, went to uni, lost time and I guess never kept playing.

Went back to a GW store around 6 months ago (which we never had in my area back then), and saw all the amazing models that exist these days. So bought a whole bunch more 40k... played a few games, and just like last time, played a game of Fantasy/AoS and realised how much I loved it. So bought and put together an ironjawz army (that im currently playing), but have realised how much I loved the Seraphon miniatures. So have since dumped a bunch of cash on them and am slowly building the army! Cant wait to play them in a few games.

Welcome to the forum.

G'day from cold and miserable Melbourne

Yeah the thing they call "cold" in Melbourne probably isn't quite the same as the thing they call "cold" in Canada. :D

...but hey perhaps temperature feels different when you spend all your life upside down! :D

Nope... awesome weather is awesome weather :). I spent a year in Australia and it was fantastic. Mind you I was in a warmer region (Sunshine Coast, Queensland). Their "winter" was so mild, but some of my Aussie friends were quite cold. The rest of us Canadians were living it up. I think the coldest day time temperature we had was around 14-15 °C and the coldest it ever got at night was 9 °C. Typically though the winter days hovered at around 18 °C and the night time temperature was around 12 °C.

Welcome to the forums!

We look forward to your contributions.
