Hey all,
From Louisville, Kentucky. Been playing various GW games since the 90s but did not pick up fantasy until this year after my brother drug me in kicking and screaming. Now it's my favorite game (besides Blood Bowl).
I been hard core into night goblins (5,000 pts and counting) after trading off High Elves. About 4 months ago I decided I needed another army, preferably an order army. Empire is WAY over played in my area as well as Brets. I'd rather not even consider dwarves, and if the elves appealed to me I would have not traded them. That left the neutral armies (both appealing) and Lizardmen.
I borrowed the book, read the fluff and the rules and fell in love. Close enough to orcs in ways so i wouldnt be too out of my element, but different enough excite me. And what's that, cold blooded leadership and actually get to use different lores! I was signed and sealed. Not to mention my bros destruction army is Skaven
I been waiting for the book to hit before I invested too much but but my bro got me a battalion and had a box of skinks that he was going to convert and I'm trading for a Slann and some more skinks. I figure a box of Temple Guard and 2 boxes of Saurus and I'm going to have a solid foundation on which to build a decent army.
By the way, been lurking here a few months, I figure I finally join up so I can start picking the ears of the veteran players.
