More pics up here: http://raffazza.blogspot.co.uk/2013/07/new-better-lizardmen-pictures.html?spref=tw EDIT: These may actually be the same ones...
Cheap Skink Chiefs are going to be interesting! Is this the Goblin/Warplock Engineer effect? Might even be worth running them as BSBs now with a 6+ Scaly Skin. Terradon mount, Enchanted Shield, light armour for 2+...
Does this mean the price is left prety much the same or its changed quite abit? not a native english speaker so i dont understand
Means it's pretty much the same So this puts the Chiefs down in the 40 pt range. Wow, just with that little bit of info I can see our army is going to be very diverse with this book. I'm infinitely more curious what's going on with our core.
Also, the Bastiladon gets dome kind of cool tail attack and has hide so tough that necrosphinx struggle to wound.
Well this is disapointing. Or the stats were changed. Stegs were really pricy and did virtualy nothing i hopped they will be quite more usable
That's a pretty good deal. I think we all knew they were going to nerf Becalming, but this ain't so bad. Still let's through IF spells so no more complaining from the opposition, haha. I hope it's not a one-use-only type thing.
I liked finding 8 pages back the comment that this topic grew 10 pages in 2 days. So far I haven't heard enough about our infantry. I'm sad that I'm hearing the step still has a split profile for the cannon reason but love the predatory fighter rumour for the scar veteran. More about the Slann too. Not enough Slann talk. Maybe mounting him on one of the new beasties?
This just in from Warseer: And Bell: Ancient Stegs look to be about the same as regular ones do now, then. That means the regular Steg must have to drop to about the 200 point mark. Scar-Vets may be 75-80 points. I'll take it. Carnosaurs up to perhaps 220 though. Skinks with Beasts! At last! With those stats, the Rippers start looking pretty damn good - Skink rider or no.
Nope, they are far better photos, thanks! The Bastiladon is even uglier and more Pokemon inspired than I first imagined and those things strapped to the back are really awkward looking. Bummer. I did so like the idea of an Anklosaurus. Hopefully I can get over this, if the models are worth having for what they do. Maybe some conversion work can fix this? Carnosaur build with the oversized saddle is way OOT. I'd keep it simple. Other than that, the model seems o.k., but nothing to get too excited about. I do like the spear tip shown for the Scar Vet. Gor Rok seems way too human and muscular to be a lizard. I wonder what brought that aesthetic decision on? He might be more palatable to me with his crest carved off. Never liked crests on my Saurus. On the plus side, I am intrigued by the unit of skinks with the yellow heads. Something may be going on with that, rules-wise? Also seeing Saurus spear painted differently from the Saurus with hand weapons. Dare we hope that there are rules for different spawnings again? New Skink Priest is the best of the new models, IMO. Definitely getting that one at some point. Terradon wings continue to baffle me. I noticed that the riders have sheilds. That's something new. Not sure how I feel about the protruding bone on the sternum of the Terradon model. Seems a little oddly undead-ish to me to have bones sticking out like that...defies the rules of anatomy. Also noting that the Terradons don't so much drop rocks anymore as a sort of carved metallic object...maybe a bomb of some kind? I don't think it matters other than for fluff purposes, unless it creates a burning attack of some sort. I certainly hope the rumor about baby stegs getting cheaper is true...
Yes those are WAY better http://raffazza.blogspot.co.uk/2013/07/new-better-lizardmen-pictures.html?spref=tw
Sounding pretty good so far Skinks with Beasts, Slann than can swap out for the metal signature to deal with 1+ armour, or get the death snipe all from High Magic. Feeling pretty flexible. If Scarvets came down in points they must of gotten some sort of stat nerf. They were fantastic already. Razadons when down a bit and salamander went up a bit. Also reasonable.
