I don't think GW gives LM a stone thrower or a warmachine of any kind. It wouldn't be very lizzie anyway I think.. At the other hand, I've read some wishlishes and the Acanodon (am I spelling it right) it being spoken off, with somekind of focus energy beam on its back.

Oh well.. How many weeks before the actual launch does GW normally announce what they're going to renew/introduce?

The old Acanodon engine of the gods
was a devise from the old one that pulled small metiorite or comets from orbit to smite your enemies...
(treated as a magical stone thrower)

why not a magic energy based cannon of the old ones?
i don't think we will get warmachines, guys. The giant bow is already quite unfitting, i think.
even if that cannon would be very nice...

Maybe a bound Comet of Cassandora on a low casting value? That could be pretty cool.

i'd dig the bow more if A) a skink chief could use his BS to fire it or B) the skink crew had a higher BS. granted, moving and long range puts us on 6s, which we normally are fine with, but its a volley of shots, not a single big ass spear. I think the bow thrower is pretty crap. Maybe I'm just using it wrong.

True, a cannon for us is entirely inconsistent and we are a move and shoot force more like WE (only with a good army book) rather than a bunker type army. Still, i want to tuck some WMs in a corner and blast stuff with magic, rocks, and cannon balls.

Maybe I need a second army to just get that out of my system.

does everyone remember that in the big BRB fluff section for empire it mentioned their demigryph knights. Well maybe we can use the lizardmen fluff section for clues. It mentions large featherd serpents that the some skinks ride. Also on the right hand side theres a little story about brettonians going to the southland jungles and meeting a lizardmen army with large LONG NECKED saurians with snapping jaws (cant be steg and a carno isn't considered as having along neck)

I'm just hoping that the sculpts look decent. There's quite a few things in Lizardmen fluff which could either look amazing as models, or terrible. The Coatl for example, has the potential to look fantastic, or absolutely appalling IMO.

Would this qualify as a "large LONG NECKED saurians with snapping jaws"

Look a lot like a Carnasaur, judging by the head and tail.

Naah, it's and Arcanadon, can be found in book called lustria, (for the 6th ed i think) it had the engine of the gods on the back, which shot exploding lasers! (hit like a stone thrower)

That makes sense, though the Spanish forum the pic is linked to seems to indicate it isn't a GW model. At any rate, I would be quite happy with lasers that cause explosions on impact!

Someone on Warseer, in the Lizardmen rumours, saying in France, some guy apparently found a plastic Terradon like head in an Eldar box set.

Don't know how true it is, but just passing some info on.

The origional from the Lustria was a conversion using a toy dinosaur, and a carnasaur, a lot of green stuff a few lizardmen bits and some regular plastic stock.

What does GW want? Maximum sales of models ofc... And that means we have to consider the possibility of them not fixing things the way we want:(

New heroes, lord choices? maybe...New monster, definitely! Monstrous cav, yes we have that slot in Terradons but that would not stop them, remove the MC label from them and they can sell us other MC...

Make kroxigors cheaper with command group and now we have to buy lots of them for bigger units? Or the Kroxigor hero/lord route, that goes with normal kroxigors like Throgg and his puke brigade = win for GW sell dem models!

I still dread a complete new core/special ranked up choice more than the above mentioned examples though. I would hate having to buy more foot troops, especially because GW would make them silly good to ensure sales... Because we do not have much variety in that regard.

Am I being cynical or realistic given their business model? But then its GW and you just never know...

I can't see many new units being put into core (unless CoC become core or they brink back skinks on Cold Ones), it is rare and special that GW has been giving a facelift for must buys.

There might be new kits and weapon options for infantry, but as a non-tournament player I'm not fussed. My current skinks still have bows, so when they bring those back I'm back on trend anyways :meh:

All they need to do is drop the price on Swarms and it'd be great, maybe give them a rule to come our of forests or swamps as well?

I read somewhere there were rumors of new flying cavalry, possibly winged serpents, and new monsterous cavalry...

yup...and that bull**** got the thread closed by Darnok.

the rumour said that SOMEONE had heard that SOMEONES friend had gotten SOMETHING that LOOKED like a plastic terradonhead in a Dark Elves box ...which was then taken back by the GW-store (illigal).

    - no pics
    - no first hand posts
    - no description
    - no insurance that it wasnt just a random plastic head from something else.

    its not true :D

.. and for the Arcanadon: that model is a convert, it is not a secret that it is a convert and they always spoken of it like that :p
The head and tail is from the carnosaur model (look at the armour on those pieces and the pose).

if we got this without changes though: I wouldnt be a mad frog.
