Hey all. Im taking a break from 40k and decided to pick up Seraphon. I haven't played sigmar before but I'm keen to give it ago

This is a list I made with two start collecting kits, so far I actually own one of them. Advice on the list would be fantastic

Leader

Saurus Oldblood on Carnosaur [260pts]

Saurus Scar-Veteran on Cold One [100pts

Skink Starpriest [80pts]

Behemoth

Troglodon [160pts]

Battleline

Saurus Knights [180pts]: 2x 5 Saurus Knights, Celestite Lance

Saurus Warriors [200pts]: 2x 10 Saurus Warriors, Celestite Spear, Stardrake Icon, Wardrum

The total Is 980

Welcome!

While the list is good to start off and learn the game mechanics of AoS I think that two Start Collecting boxes give you some more fun options for 1k.

First of all: check out this thread for awesome kitbashing options:

As for the list itself:
Saurus Warriors unfortunately don't work very well in small units.
If I had to build a 1k list from an SC box or two I would most likely play a double Carno list with the Firelance bataillon, like this:

Allegiance: Seraphon

Leaders
Saurus Oldblood on Carnosaur (260)
- Artefact: Doppelganger Cloak
Saurus Scar-Veteran on Carnosaur (240)
- Warblade
- Artefact: Dimensional Blade
Skink Starpriest (80)
- General
- Trait: Master of Star Rituals

Battleline
5 x Saurus Knights (90)
- Lances
5 x Saurus Knights (90)
- Lances
5 x Saurus Knights (90)
- Lances

Battalions
Firelance Starhost (150)

Total: 1000 / 1000
Extra Command Points: 1
Allies: 0 / 200
Wounds: 58

You can kitbash the Starpriest easily from the SC box, using the Troglodon rider which you don't need if you build a Carnosaur.

your skink should be your general give him master of star rituals so he can use celestial rites. saurus knights work best in small units i would break them into 5 man units and use there war drum to take objectives. taking drums and banners doesn't remove there weapons you can still attack with the moddle. if you can get 20 more saurus they work best in 40 man units duo to horde bonuses keep the star priest near them and keep casting starlight, serpents staff, and celestial rites to make them a force to be reckoned with, a astrolith bearer can help with this. beyond that just have fun and remember you can teleport good hunting.
