If we don't get endless spells than gw has some serious problems. We are basically the most magical faction (alongside tzeentch) and if anything we would need it. I mean being able to use any faction's endless spells may be cool but we need something unique to us. I mean I think we will get new endless spells considering they know that we are a massively popular faction and they did say that we should expect more previews in the not too far future.
https://imgur.com/gallery/Jl47Upf But guys, what about these new banners/standards? LOL. They would be such trolls if new saurus are released (with new banners) and the old ones are used for the ziggurat...
@Lord Skal'terakk, I hope you're right. My main concern is that most of the carry-over factions that still exist haven't received any new models with updates, have they? Except for Chaos, of course... To that point, I would be excited to get an update similar to StD, with new Saurus Warriors, Saurus Knights on new mounts and a Scar-Vet on a new mount. A lizard can dream, anyway. But, what makes us any different than Skaven or several of the Cities of Sigmar factions? I'm sure they wanted updates too.
Here is the thing to keep in mind; we have not been updated for ages and thus sales on our models probably are not high. They will likely put our models on supercharge to make them sell really well, as making a crappy battletome after all this time would make very little business sense, especially as they clearly want to sell our models
the designs shown in the artwork are similar to ones that have appeared previously, meaning they're not necessarily connected to new models the use of the old banners is not indicative of the old unit remaining, as they're 3D assets found also in the banner of the temple guards though, in the still unlikely chance of getting new models, in a similar vein to the chaos warriors, the new models may not remove from production the old ones which would still be the way to go for different weapon options and the command group edit: original cover for comparison
Eh, one always can say, that they just make them cooler on the cover just to attract customers' attention. But who knows, maybe they are already working with concepts of new warriors and we will see them within a year or so?
The cover of the FEC book is also the new Arch regenat ghoul King btw. So all the covers match existing units, mostly. They maybe better artistic interpretations, but they are very close in terms of style and mimic the models almost exactly.
I suspect there are new saurus models coming, as to when I couldn't say,but the reason behind that is they made a new sculpt for blood bowl and it looks like the total war sculpts, if I were the betting type a warrior/guard dual kit might be a thing because the tops of the heads of the blood bowl ones were a separate piece and it could be a indicator that it just a simple head swap and weapons choices in the box,but this is just speculation based on the release of that blood bowl box
I'm not sure if this has been mentioned in this thread but I just heard a rumor from my local GW store manager that they're going to release a Seraphon vs. Sons of Behemat boxed set. He also hinted at new Saurus models. Maybe a big reveal at Adepticon? Let's hope.
I dont think anyone has mentioned it yet, but that temple terrain piece would be a great place to put your unused tenehuain models. A little rat sacrifice to open the portal?
Guys, the temple/pyramid is fantastic. It screams Lizardmen. good news, I dropped 40k. I am just going to play Age of sigmar now. I decided, the mortal realms speaks to me. I am all about the weird 70's fantasy universe. I hate science. And maths. I don't know what makes me a fantasy man, and not a sci-fi boy. Just the way it is, I suppose.
Does anyone have any educated guestimations of the new pyramids size (I am thinking around20cm by 20cm by around 15cm to the top of the stru. I cant wait so am going to scratch build one. Now wheres my spares box..........
Welcome to lustria! If you want to try and build one we have some similar projects on the forum (I believed @DeathBringer125 did some lustrian themed terrain). I’m guessing the actual size of the pyramid is around a foot on each base side, just eyeballing it from the carnosaur
From the pictures it looks as big as a Carnosaurus with the rider in height but a bit shorter in width.
Thank you all. My lizards have been in a cupboard for many years. I think it's time to get them fully out of retirement (all 200 skinks and 100 saurus worth). Better start painting them me thinks. Will checknout post for lizardmen terrain.
Umm I wish I did lol. I own a 3d printer but I don't make any files nor have I printed terrain yet (though I may print my own Ziggurat)
1) Print any aztec-style pyramid with 3d printer; 2) grab 4 saurus stardrake icons; 3) grab engine of gods from stegadon; 4) ??? 5) PROFIT
I'm probably still going to get the ziggurat for no other reason than to show GW that investing in Seraphon was a good business decision
