I lost all hope on new minis for Seraphon. They must think the range is good enough, continues to make money by itself. Just continue making small new attractive factions in order to sell new product and that's it. Just hope the Battletome is good enough for the long wait.
I'm at least hoping for a good miniature for the box vs another faction. Can we speculate about that? I mean, I don't see Seraphon going against Lumineth, do you? Also, Idoneth, Daughters of Khaine and Nurgle still need their 2.0 update. I can see Lumineth going vs Daughters, Idoneth vs Nurgle (don't pollute the ocean, children!) And what about us? Am I missing any faction? What do you think? Also, my guess is they'll give us an upgraded vet on cold one with cold ones units in the box. What do you think?
Nurgle was the first 2.0 book released i believe. The powercreep makes it seem like they are overdue bu their book is barely 2 years old
nurgle is doing fine they just got 2 buffs with the new campaign book and STD 3 if you count their most resent FaQ
Not looking good for new saurus sculpts. https://www.warhammer-community.com/2020/02/12/warband-focus-the-new-warbandsgw-homepage-post-3/
meh, new saurus sculpts seem unlikely to begin with. I'd expect some endless spells and maybe a new hero, but that's about it. I'd be very surprised with a new unit (unless it's to replace a resin model, as resin is such a pain to work with..)
Just saw the community update. I'm not an expert in Warcry, are model/unit characteristics in any way similar to what's in a battletome for that model/unit?
yes it does. English language syntax. acknowledging that there might be a replacement effect or mechanic for the endless spells that weren't released IS confirmation that they aren't coming (as of that post) and (in toeing the company line) generating hype for potential other things to keep the disappointment from no endless spells from turning the thread sour.
I find it strange that we get our flyers for warcry and not the kroxigors. It makes more sense to me to use one of them instead of the flyers. Strange.
and thats just stupid we are in the top 3 magic races if we don't get endles spells that would just be silly. aaaaagh what are you doing GW i hope they have a plane because at the moment nothing they are doing makes any sense
I've seen speculation that in lieu of endless spells slann might get more spells per turn or able to cast other faction's spells but that's all just speculation.
No. Warcry uses a completely unique ruleset. /edit: Gotta give props to the photographer though, he/she managed to capture the one angle where Saurus models actually look somewhat decent, lol.
I'm no expert either, but from what I've seen the rules/stats in WC don't really correlate well with AoS stats. At least this can be said of the original WC cultist warbands (ie. Iron Golems, Untamed Beasts, etc) which all have varying stats in WC as well as each having several niche abilities depending on the cult (avoid veritcal movement for corvus, poison weapons for splintered fangs, etc). In AoS, these units all have the same basic stats (1A/+4/+4/-/1) with a minor unique ability that correlates with their WC ability and minor buffs for the unique looking models within the warband (ogor in iron golems, snakes in splintered fang, etc.) instead of having your regular champion, musician & stnd. bearer. To be fair tho I haven't really seen too many of the non-cultists cards, but from what I have seen they don't really seem to correlate all that well IMO. For example DoK blood sisters are pretty tanky in WC with 25 or 30 wounds (can't remember exactly) which is similar to the IG Ogor @ 30 wounds. In AoS the sisters only have 2 wnds ea and the ogor 3. Hm, looking at these two examples, maybe there is a slight, very slight, correlation of approx. 10 WC wnds per 1 in AoS? Doubt it's that straightforward though. I'm sure someone out there on the world-wide webs has tried to correlate the two stats to some extent. You could probably googles it lol EDIT: Corrections: Ogors in AoS have 4 wounds actually (3 in addition to the 1 each model in the unit already has). WC ogors have 30 wounds base with a 40 wound leader variant, so this kinda breaks the "slight correlation" lol. Thanks @Lustrian Giant for the following clarification!
