Yeah thats what I meant, you have Potential 9 points and still can cast one spell, that's what it says “once per round you can generate 1d3 points but your spells get reduced to 1“ paraphrased of course

 

Right so you're trading 2 spells for a D3 instead of three spells plus if you have endless spells for 3 each our entire faction now generates what one unbuffed slan could in a turn

 

I just posted a quick look at the NEW/OLD Thunderquake. Check it out in the list section if you're curious. SPOILER ALERT. It is still freaking amazing.

 

I haven't seen anyone here talk about this yet so I'll start. It seems the Realmshaper Engine needs to be placed before placing all other terrain. This means that you need to place it before it has been decided which side of the table you are getting. On top of this, since it's a garrison and it does not specify that only Seraphon can enter, enemy units will be able to enter it as well. So basically, you could be setting it up in enemy territory and then enemy units and go inside and you don't get to use it yourselve + it benefits your enemy.

How ridicuous is this?

Hm, just noticed that skinks & monsters have really low bravery now. In Starborne lists that won't matter, but in Coalesced armies...that may be an issue, even with cold-blooded...

 

yup if skinks take 1 damage they have a 50% chance to loose models

 

Does the coalesced ignore bravery modifiers work for battleshock?

I personally usually face Hallowheart and LoN, I would never ever risk the chance of the enemy being able to garrison his 6 mages with 2 spells each or nagash with 8 spells to enter the garrison, it would destroy me. Currently it seems more beneficial to NOT use this scenery piece except for pure decoration purposes.

 

I know in the review video he says reduced to 1, but zooming in i think he misread and it says "reduced by 1" so the slann is only giving up one of his 3 spells if I'm not wrong

 

This was my understanding of it as well; reduced BY 1, not TO 1

EDIT: just checked the Spanish version again and it states "...se reduce en 1" which according to google translates to "reduced by 1"

 

Looks like by to me, maybe someone with a better source can confirm

 

Yeah, that's definitely "reduced BY 1" not "TO 1."

 

So MWG released their first impressions vid...lol. Steve is quite disappointed lol.
