We good for another half year boys! Im pretty sure the GHB20 has been printed months ago and wont include any changes for us.
It's not printed months in advance, it's probably made ready for print one month in advance at most, with then the remaining month for spell-checking, production & logistics. It doesn't take half a year to do all that, so getting it ready for print months in advance would be a waste of time...
great... Also, it'd be nice to know the arcane logic behind their pricing. That would at least make this more understandable.
With their “Brexit” and no longer being part of the trading union as per 1. January 2021, surely that will affect sales/prices in a way? On the other hand it makes sense that the prices are eased up every now and then due to inflation etc.
They send stuff away to be printed elsewhere to save some £££. We also just saw import documents for the GHB20, so it has been in the making for some time. There is no way it is written friday and then printed first thing in the morning on a monday. These kind of things are a long time underway. The fact the GHB just about never have changes for the very recent armies is also telling that it is long underway. Any change to recent armies is done through an online errata.
Depends how recent. Last year there were no changes/errata to Slaanesh which was released about the same time. I also think this corona situation has made it rather difficult to get any proper educated feedback as to what point changes we should get. I think we can all agree that Salamanders and Kroak are great and far beyond most stuff in our tome, but it is kinda irrelevant to “nerf” these if those are the only things keeping the tome alive.
I actually looked at some Dark Elves a few days ago and I seriously saw them as £15.50 before and when I looked the next day they shot up to £22.50. Unless I was dreaming. These were the Dreadspears and similar built in the same box. I got into contact with the local art shop hoping they have a hidden box somewhere as old stock but they had nothing, only newer stuff. A lot of the complaints is the bad timing really, with everything going on and how some models are already pricy as it is. Like Morathi.
We got some FAQ´s and it hurt auch constellation. But if they really would do a second wave of FAQ on us, maybe the could change the RSE completelly. I dont want our army to be the best, but RSE is just to worse. It is so bad that i dont buy our only terrain. just sad i would really love some kroxigor change. they made something, but its doesnt reflect what they are made off
It is a FAQ to GHB, not to our battletome. It is used to change points for armies which have got recent releases and were not mentioned in GHB. But there's also a big FAQ in winter, but it is mostly about balancing broken or underperforming stuff. I doubt, that RSE will get any better. All its flaws are obviously purely intentional.
Well, I'm not saying, that we will be 100% FAQed, but we can't deny the possibility either. Slannesh is a very strange case. I think, they were FAQed twice if not thrice. And that strange rumor about "We wanted to see, how far the players can go with it"... Anyway, even if they nerf Kroak and Sallies, they should drop prices on underperforming stuff. Steggies easily should go back to 200 as well as Oracle.
40K gets a new edition. Have a neat video Crucially it also gets a new banner, so the internet obviously hates the new edition, cuz what could possibly matter more than the banner.
I think new 40k will be a more fluid transition from old, as per AOS was. That's what I'm getting from the update anyway.
Yeah, they stated in the preview that the Psychic Awakening books were made with the new edition in mind. That combined with their not officially calling it 9th Ed is reminding me of AoS' edition change.
