I really want it to be something other than the inquisition, just for fun. On the other hand I am trying to find a psyker to put in my ad-mech collection and so far I've not found anything that looks good.
More Slaanesh stuff. That makes what, 7 new units? Sigvald, his 2 mirror guard variants, the 4 in here? Am I missing anything? I guess at least with this the mortals are fleshed out so hopefully we can move on quickly...
Yeah, but they are some dope models. If they are gonna release models of this quality, i don't care what army it comes out for.
O sure , the quality is great. Just hoping it's not going to be another case of 1 faction getting shiny new toys for a year or so while the rest has to make do; like with SCE & Undeath. Aside from that just not a fan of Slaanesh
Also not a big Slaanesh fan, but I have to agree that the new models look nice. And as Erta said, at least it shows that they're willing to give existing armies attention. Personally I am slightly optimistic that as the constant release of new armies inevitably has to slow down the existing ones will start to get more updates.
If only they would release some dope new models for an army that hasn't been updated with new models in 10 years...
On the 10th day of December, GW gives to me: To me this looks like some piece of wargear (artillery?) of a death faction. The hook on the bottom here seems to be the Rumour Engine of yesterday with the flask. Grrr, Imrahil
More aelfs being mean and needlessly slaughtering civilians. The grand allegiance of order becomes more meaningless by the day...
I do like these little sub-alligences within order, i hope seraphon get this kind of fluff come thier turn. Speaking of thier turn, did they ever annouce how frequent the broken realm series would be ?
No but being in an alliance does generally mean not murdering your allies on a large scale. It is generally frowned upon if you start doing that. And at this point 2 out of 9 are in open war with the others, on top of KO & Fyreslayers fighting for the highest bidder & Sylvaneth murdering everyone who touches a tree. The only ones who still vaguely act like allies are CoS, SCE & Lumineth. With Serpahon being an odd one out, as they will occasionally sack a city or something, but only to stamp out the touch of chaos; which is at least in service of the alliance if a bit extreme a solution. Unlike the other 5 backstabbing factions who break their alliance for what are solely personal gains. At this point alliance is rather a misnomer and we might as well just reduce it to simply "order"; at least that'd be accurate...ish..
Hey man, that's the way alliances roll sometimes. GW clearly doesn't think of it like you do. It's not as if "grand alliance: destruction" armies don't fight each other. And the fact that they do, doesn't make it any less of a "grand alliance." Same with chaos or death. It just doesn't match your head canon which is fine.
Destruction at least is defined by backstabbing and a constant struggle for power, same with Chaos. Chaos is only allied as long as Archaon beats up any who want to break away. Same for any Destruction alliances, those only work as long as the biggest warboss keeps his lesser ones in check. It makes sense for their alliances to be fragile and in constant flux. Their grand alliance is just as stable as any given alliance between two ork tribes or two chaos warbands, even those within the same faction. In contrast order makes alliances largely based on diplomacy and cooperation. Or at least, is supposed to. That's kind of the whole point of Order, that they're civilized, ordered and build a lasting legacy. And don't get me wrong, we can still have an grand order faction, its just the alliance bit that rings rather hollow at the moment.
Someone on the aos reddit mentioned it was in a similar vain to https://www.warhammer-community.com/2020/07/28/the-rumour-engine-july-28th-2020/ Any faction beside fyreslayers have a thing for keys, let alone keys and small animals ?
