I’m fairly sure he’s only appeared in one AoS story (the one where he rearranged the stars into a smiling frog face) where he’s just kind of there as this terrifyingly powerful and almost inanimate presence.

Definitely nothing from the old world because lizardmen got like, 2 bits of notable presence in actual books total, and he wasn’t there either time

Doesn't he sorta communicate with the other lizardmen to come pick him up and kick butt with him in warhammer total war?

    That's sort of different.

But. I would enjoy CA/GW collaboration using the tongue of the Old Ones from TW:W2 in a trailer that includes Kroak speaking to someone. Preferably all of the little godlings with their schemes and machinations.

What is old one for "Fix your shit before I fix it for you."

Only time I remember any slann speaking was when some elf people went into a lizardmen city on a diplomatic type mission and were brought before the slann. slann woke up said "you arent supposed to be here." and went back to sleep. lizardmen killed the entire expedition

Sounds like most elven diplomacy... go somewhere they're not supposed to be then be slaughtered by the natives cuz the natives took great offense at this. Instead of you know, trying to establish relationships on neutral ground.

As much as I want Kroak to be more powerful than Teclis, I'm not sure how Teclis ascending to godhood plays into the power ranking. I know the gods of the mortal realms (Nagash, Teclis/Tyrion, Morathi, Allarielle, etc) aren't as powerful as the Chaos Gods, so maybe Kroak could be on a similar level. I guess we'll find out soon, I'm super excited

Kroak taught Teclis's ancestors.... I think teclis is still catching up. In fact I think it's the starbourne that worship kroak and raised him to higher godhood

The gods of Mortals are merely mortal Heroes empowered by one of the Winds of magic. Kroak the other hand has mastery over all the wins of magic to a degree that is frankly shocking. Even before he came to AOS he was displaying Feats of magic that exceeded anything the gods have done. Last I checked none of the Gods can make black holes or shift Stars around. both of these are things that slann have done and Kroak is the greatest of the slann

In the realmgate wars story Beneath The Black Thumb he interrupts a Nurgle cultist who’s communing with his god, completely shuts off their communication and isolates the champion and his host from the realm of chaos entierly, diverting the realmgate they came from back to its normal destination, and filling them with raw fear as they’re ripped apart by meteors called down by this unmoving husk of a body that’s manifested. Kroak seems to then taunt the guy by making the stars shift into the face of a smiling frog, which is how the story ends.

I guess he’s got a sense of humor in his old age

So, if you could say that Teclis is the god of Hysh, Nagash is the god of Shyish, Sigmar is the god of Azyr, Allarielle is the goddess of Ghyran, etc...

Kroak could be considered the god of Qhaysh?

In the Old World, it was the combined winds of magic which formed the "wind" of High Magic.

Ah ok, I thought it was maybe a realm in AoS that I wasn't aware of. I just read a wiki about it, it would be cool if that becomes the case. Some of the spells are still around, hand of glory, (stellar) tempest, drain magic, etc

Teclis and Nagash & friends are the gods of the realms. The seraphon float around in space. So Kroak would be the god of space, containing all the realms, I guess if you want to connect it to a "realm" :p
