well yeah, but it's a lizard, not a seraphon. He also killed dragons, but again, lizard and dragons are different things. Normally small animals, and other base-details, like this have some link to the model. E.g. it's a the model lives in the jungle, so there's some small jungle critters. Or it's a sylvaneth so there's bugs and such on the base. Or occasionally it's a slain foe, especially common for 40K heroes. But here it's just some random lizard that happened to sit on the same rock. It's just a tad random, and kinda lame to use it as a rumour engine for this model... I mean, it's kinda like showing off a random piece of rock, it could be on any model if that's the extend of the "hint"...
Here I am thinking that the Saurus Knights (or at the very least, the cold ones) are worse than either Warriors or Kroxigor.
Well, surprised they actually announced the new edition. Figured they'd wait a bit. That one Stormcast Angel looks really good.
Agree on all front. Plus, it's not that great to announce a new edition when the pace of releases is still clogged due to corona
Yeah, the last 18 months were kinda terrible. I'va managed to play some 40k, but AoS? meh, just a couple of games
Yeah, I’m not too worried this time because they got pretty much nothing since the beginning of 2nd Edition. Also the Spearmen actually don’t look too bad. I don’t know why, they just look better than some of the previous Stormcast models. More interesting though is the new faction facing them - all of the talk of bogs, mires and fens, plus a female voice narrating, makes me think plastic Fimir are coming...
Surely not? Death were in the previous boxed game, and Soulblight will be getting their book before 3rd Edition surely? Also Sylvania wasn’t a swamp, it was a ruined Empire province, assuming you’re talking about Fantasy Vampires. Given that Chaos was in the first boxed game, and Death was in the second, I’m assuming Destruction will be in the Third Edition Box, and Fimir were moved to Destruction in AoS because the Chaos Gods didn’t care about them
maybe. but whos army would they be in? they don't have the stuff for a faction of their own, gobos already have trogs so redundant, orks maybe? even then we haven't seen any rumer engines to lead us to believe fimir. time will tell
Moving to AoS 3.0 feels kind of unneccesary at this point. Could have easily waited a year and nobody would have batted an eye. Weird. So much talk of Order vs Chaos and not one mention of Seraphon, lol. Also, keeping the double turn and increasing the perks for going second, rofl? (Although it would explain the recent trend towards armies that will bash your face in T1.) +1 for Fimir as the other faction.
Nope, I’d suggest that Fimir be developed as a faction in their own right, as they certainly used to be a long time ago, and just because Forge World didn’t do much with them, it doesn’t mean they would definitely be part of another faction. Indeed there are several Warhammer Fantasy unofficial army books that expand upon Fimir as a faction and give them a lot more units, so it’s definitely possible.
yeah im putting that in the wistful thinking box alongside bretonia and tomb kings. and even if it where to happen are you sure YOU want "AOS" expanded Fimir?
Trailer said a "new breed" of evil. I'm guessing it's not something we've ever seen? Who wants to place bets that this army will have a blurb in its history where they trounce a Koatl's Claw force?
