It cost one PC but yes I play Dread Saurian as well and I Hope to keep this abilties. Without thé dread Saurian cant be play

I was hoping this was a bad joke. That Empryean ability made me reflexively recoil. That is a terribly written, and terrible rule.
That and his Dream Unto Reality ability doesn't even work, as Coalesced don't get the summoning rules, they're faction locked to be usable in Starbourne. You'd just be accruing useless summoning points that can't be dumped.
I do hope GW releases the full warscroll soon.

I'm guessing the implication was that you'd get the summoning rules as well. But yeah, not particularly brilliantly written...
 
Does someone have that clip from the 3rd edition reveal?

You know, the one where they go "We've taken everything into account. Made it water-tight"

That was rolling through my head when I read it, even though it's fake. It felt real.

Not really worth the new model. I don't know if he's more survivable. Chip damage less likely to kill him, but can also kill him with only 2 wounds taken. Would be nice if the rule to heal was optional. Loss of the 4+ after save will hurt and no balewind range extender

Agreed. Losing a unit that expensive after he suffers 2 damage would be a shitty, gimmicky gut-punch.

I think Saurus Guard are basically mandatory for him now (which they already were, really), so tack on another 100pts to his pricetag.

The same goes for the Astrolith bearer seeing as he can't utilize a BWV for added range.
 
I'm still suspicious of that. GW said he functions like no other character in the game, and that is a very normal looking warscroll whether it could be considered good or not

Truth is I just wanted him to be on par with Teclis lol


Ultimately he'll probably get more use if he is not that strong and expensive, though. So, I'll be content with 4/4 at +2
 
I'm not as versed in AoS as lots of people here, is there anyway to finagle a way to reroll the 3d6 to see if you die if things go wrong?
 
Yeah, hate the 3d6 rule. Just a horrible, horrible game design decision. Still arguably too efficient. Four +2 (+3 with asterism) global unbinds is super dumb. Knowing the whole lore is neat but ultimately irrelevant. Just boring, lazy, blah.

I've never been so whelmed in my life.

Honestly it's kinda put me off buying the new model. I will just rebase current kroak until I play a few games, but definitely not the 100% buy I was hoping for
 
Seems... odd. It doesnt really fix the problem other people have with him, aside from balewind.

I want the model, and I'll probably play some games with Kroak. He's only ever died to Katakros after we played out turns 6-7 in a game, so I dont see him dying super easy even with the odd... 3d6 roll. Losing the FNP is a gut punch though.

I wonder if he still has the Slann keyword.
