Other than the gameplay aspects, I would love a lore update to the universe in general, maybe dropping a temple ship in Ghur, yeah? The Seraphon finally moving past the destruction of the Old World, setting new roots, starting a new empire!
Yeah not building makes no sense... unless you already have a million fully painted skinks..... we will ALWAYS need more skinks lmao.
Listening to the “official” Stormcast podcast, episode 3, the guest (background writer Nick Horth) mentions working on some Seraphon lore at the 49/50 minute mark. Released on Jan 14 of this year. Not sure if that was mentioned in this thread yet.
From GW: "The new edition of Age of Sigmar brought a lot of new tricks to the game, and soon, more armies than ever will be able to take full advantage of them – 2019 will see new battletomes for every Grand Alliance! Some brand-new armies will be joining the fray, as well as classic armies updated for the new edition. With Gloomspite Gitz already on shelves, and Flesh-eater Courts and Skaven on their way, we look ahead to the next battletome: Blades of Khorne." Khorne gets some love from GW, let's hope they update the oldest battletomes
New battletome for FEC, blades of Khorne.. frankly it's becoming ridiculous how they are updating some armies before older ones.
Does anyone own both books and can tell what the difference is between the two? Cuz from what I remember their 2nd book was just a "quick" book that unified the mortal and deamonic forces to be in line with the rest of chaos, but didn't necesarly actually change anything. Much like how SCE started with 2 seperate books for their two chambers and then randomly got a new book merging the two but without all that much in it that was actually new.
The first was an "old style" Battletome, one of the first ones IIRC. So without artefacts, allegiance abilities and such stuff. The second one is basically on the same level as the newer Battletomes, and for both mortals and daemons.
They said 1 new tome for each grand alliance. Chaos has 2 already lol. My guess is one new faction per grand alliance and then all old books redone
I understood they are remaking the 4 Great Alliance battletomes Also from the 4 alliakce picture they published... I guess Fireslayers is gonna get more love than Seraphon...
No they confirmed on face book that it wasnt grand alliance tomes but books for factions in the grand alliances. Also the pics mean nothing they are just the icons on the community forum
How little love Seraphon gets is almost surprising, considering how many people play them, in the US at least. The only army with more players are Sigmarines. I mean, we don't even have warscroll cards.
Khorne shouldn't be a surprise to anyone, since they were given new models and rules in the Wrath & Rapture box recently.
Why not? There is no rule that says "whenever an army receives new models, they also get a new battletome". I honestly didn't think they would revisit Khorne already.
