AoS NEW *rumor*

Temple guard & oldblood are reasonably nice sculpts, plus they're proper plastic and not finecast nonsense, so I don't think those will get an update.

I'm surprised the eternity warden is still there though, that's the only finecast model left right now.
As others have speculated, I wonder if a new "Saurus Hero" kit is coming where you can make a Sunblood/Oldblood/Eternity Warden. But that wouldn't explain why the Warden model is still available while others have disappeared. I just hope GW can come up with interesting rules for a Warden and Guard, or come up with better interactions and distinctions between the two. Thematically (and rules-wise), they're redundant. At least make the Warden more like SCE Praetors, who can possibly negate damage passed to them.

I kind of feel Seraphon is going to get the S2D treatment. A Saurus vanguard box of new Saurus warriors, new knights, and a new Scar-Vet on mount. Possibly a new Skinks vanguard box with Skinks, Raptadon Riders, Terradons/Ripperdactyls, and a Starseer/Starpriest/Priest. All monsters will be sold individually.

There were rumors of a new Seraphon monster unit floating around. Given we already have 9 monsters, I would be surprised.

In mean, we really only have like 4 monsters; Bastiladon, Stegadon, Carnosaur, and the Troglodon. And honestly, the troglodon barely counts given that it's never actually been good and is 99% the same model as the carnosaur.

Adding a monster definitly wouldn't be the weirdest thing to do, especially since our monsters aren't that impressive.
There's room to create a proper heavy hitter, or alternativly, bump up the carnosaur to heavy hitter & give us something akin to the stormdrakes & dracoths as a heavy cavalry.

i would even say that, with the Dread Saurian being discontinued, it would be the proper moment to introduce some new big dude.

Seems like the next Warcry box will have an alternative version of our Realmshaper Engine as terrain.
Also seems to be more than just different top and additional platforms as the stairs have more broken parts than on the normal version

I suspect it's just warcry terrain, not an (official) alternative of the realmshape engine.

4 kits, yes. But 9 different warscrolls that all need to be considered to reach some kind of internal balance.

I'm not one to complain about new models, especially when they're monsters. But with the number of warscrolls we have, I do wonder if any could be consolidated.

That looks REALLY cool! It doesn't appear too hard to use just the Engine without the platforms.

I mean, scar vet v.s. oldblood on carnosaur is basicly just a load-out difference. And since they're so similar the point cost of one is nearly always too high when compared to the other.

Idem with the stegadon variants, 90% of the warscroll is the same, though at least the variants of the stegadon are different enough to actually warrant a different point cost.

So even in that sense we don't exactly have a lot of variance.

That looks amazing man!! :):)

Of course its not an official alternative but can still be used for anyone who either wants a different looking engine or just more seraphon terrain

Or just as an awesome piece of terrain on your battlefield!

Grrr, !mrahil

...yeah that's my point. Why bother having two scrolls and needlessly bloat the tome if they're so similar?

Ah like that.
I mean sure, combine the carnosaur variants into 1 warscroll.

I'm just saying there's room for a new monster without it immeadiatly being bloat. But it does need to actually be different in a significant way.
