GW tends to just send you a new box if it takes too long. If you're Lucky you end up with two boxes if the Original one arrivés after all.
Foregworld is not GW sadly, I would have loved an extra lol. GW did that for me when I bought the tyranids swarm army box. it came with doube the lower half sprues for the 1 carnafex that was supposed to be in the box. so they sent me a box of just Carnafex's to make up for it. the carnafex box makes 2, and because they have extra head options and I got a double bottom ooption, I was able to pay for 1 carnafex and make 4!
I once ordered a unit of 20 high elf spearmen all metal on a clearance deal they sent me dark elves by mistake when I emailed they said keep what I had and they would send me the original order foc
Finally, finally, finally, the AoS product release pipes are going to be cleared of Sylvaneth rubbish next Saturday: https://www.warhammer-community.com/2019/07/07/coming-soon-something-for-everyone/ It’s highly likely then that the next army to get releases will be previewed on the AoS open day later on this month. Whether it is Seraphon or not I don’t know, only that it is much more likely that it will be previewed at the next event, which I believe is the Open Day.
It’s probably going to destruction (gutbusters, ironjaws, BCR?) or death, since they have the least number of recent Battletomes. Still holding out hope for our scaly friends to be the next one, but unfortunately that’s a bit unlikely. We’ll know soon enough though.
Death seems unlikely, basicly the entire grand allegiance has been overhauled in the past year, they've nearly gained as much attention and new stuff as the SCE. Destruction seems likely though, especially a greenskin souptome like the grot one.
Death has the least total number of Battletomes. I would love to see a Settra book. Destruction needs love. There are very few competitive list within the faction. Ironjawz, Bonesplitterz, BCR, and Gutbusters all need love. KO could use a new book badly. There are always rumors circling of Freepeoples, Teclis Aelves, and Darkoath too.
That would be awesome (especially as none of the current Death factions do it for me because they’re all based on the awful old Vampire Counts army from Warhammer Fantasy), but unlikely. I can see a pirate faction in the style of Curse of the Vampire Coast that was released for Warhammer II Total War, but I don’t think it’ll arrive until later as Flesh Eater Courts recently got their book and Legions of Nagash got an extra Legion. Agreed with all these points. My guess is going to be either Kharadron or an updated Ironjawz or Bonesplitterz, as I think it’s a bit too soon still after Gloomspite for the Gutbusters book and orcs in general have been neglected for too long now that Fyreslayers and most of the other early First Edition factions have already been updated, but if it is Gutbusters it’ll be fun to see what they do with them. Beastclaw Raiders I’d say are still more competitive than Ironjawz or Bonesplitterz, so I’m expecting them to come later.
i think its going to be grand ealves if not the next one then the one after the sneak peaks show scales so dragons a lions head so charice and out side of destruction ealves need it the most.
The lore does reference Teclis having his own alves but that he is withholding from deploying them(as of Forbidden Powers). My guess is they might be released with the next expansion when ever that comes. Also Teclis tried to shape Deepkin into High Alves but failed due to their time in Slannesh(they corrupt now :/ ). So most likely it will be High Alves, don't think it will be including wanders and wood alves but probably the splintered high alves.
I also kinda hope for Orruks of any kind. Especially the Ironjawz are in a weird place, they are kind of the poster boys of Destruction, frequently finding themselves in official artwork of AoS, on official posters for events, in almost every Battletome and so on, but they are an army with very few types of units to choose from, and an even smaller number of viable lists. But be it Ironjawz or Bonesplitterz (or the remnants of the Greenskinz), Orruks are vastly underpowered right now. It has been what feels like ages since I have lost against my Orruk playing buddy in any kind of match that wasn't narrative.
I’m very sceptical of that - Elves have two of the most powerful factions in the game (Daughters and Idoneth - the former doesn’t even deserve to be as strong as it is). What we don’t need right now is even more Elf factions dominating the meta when we could have a much more diverse meta (even though having a properly High Elf faction would be nice).
Hmmm High Aelves.... I really enjoyed playing those arrogant pricks in TWW2 (never thought I would) so if those get a new AoS army I would be very tempted...
meh, given that forbidden power has teclis explicitly state he doesn't want to show his hand yet I wouldn't count on more aelven factions any time soon.
I’m not saying it wouldn’t be great (I’d rather have had AoS High Elves appear first than Daughters of Khaine), it just wouldn’t be a good idea right now with so many other factions in a pitiful state (either outdated or not even with a tome). I think the most important thing would be to update all those that are really outdated first (Ironjawz and Bonesplitterz especially), then think about doing some more tomes for those that don’t have one (Dispossessed, Gutbusters, Slaves to Darkness) and then start releasing new ones again
Meanwhile the FAQ is out. Good news: we aren't nerfed. Bad news, we are not buffed. There's literally no FAQ for us. And terrorghetst only strikes first on charge, yay!
I was taking a look at the shiny new FAQ… the new endless spell "Launchon the soulseeker" has been heavily nerfed. no FAQ updates for Seraphon… but in the FAQ for the GHB2019, GW removed the pitched battle profiles for Bloodclaw Starhost and Heavenswatch Starhost
Was bound to happen, but is pretty annoying. Makes it look like we are a copy paste job. I really hope when we get a new battletome it includes a new or similar battalion to Bloodclaw. I also don't think High Alves will be any time soon, but they will be a thing eventually. Outside of our glorious Seraphon I would love to see Destruction updated.
