That Saurus pic is from the cover of one of their Bloodbowl art covers. I was pretty excited once I saw it.
I can't tell from the pics, and so doubt anyone else can, but do the new BB models match the 12/11/18 rumor engine? 2018-12-11 Have they ever historically teased BB models in Rumor Engine?
Ah and there is this one, too: And, possibly this one: though the latter has more of an ogre vibe, to me. I could see it as the chest of a Kroxigor-like beast, though, with some dangly lizardly-like frill-beard.
Maybe. Hard to tell. But right now I'd say no, that's not one of those models. I am pretty sure that there are too many scales on the first one, it doesn't fit the scale size of the Blood Bowl Saurus players. Looks like something bigger. And that last one might be one of the new Aelves... ...or maybe not. Beastmen/Ogor might fit better.
yeah i didn't think the croc-like tail was in the BB models, but i was drudging up all the other unsolved, could-be-seraphon rumor engines. And I agree. I don't think any of the could-be-seraphon REs have been revealed.
I think the blood bowl announcement definitely bodes well for us. I think since we were the first battletome for AoS we’ll be one of the last updates but having an overhaul of modeling for a different game means they’ve probably been working on something similar for the mainstream
My local GW manager will not confirm nor deny the presence of new Seraphon models already in the warehouse.
Ive never played Blood bowl, but im going to get the box and start checking it out. definitely in love with the BB Saurus models.
Sadly not GW dont really tell the store managers anything leak wise that isnt already out there. All that is is hooking a fish to keep up interest and footfall. Much like how every gw manager could not confirm or deny a plastic thunderhawk, even circulating the guide to make your own out of two stormravens to keep up interest.
GW, please stop with the dumb Mesoamerican pun-based names. As a sole Seraphon/lizardmen player in all GW games, this is one of the most annoying habits that they need to stop with this faction.
A) im not sure this is the thread for that lol B) that's like... our thing... we are AZTEC DINOSAURS RIDING ONDINOSAURS!
Sure, but we could do with less TikTaq'To, methinks. But back on topic: I have no doubt there are new Lizardmen Models on the way to stores: The BloodBowl ones. But as others have said, GW stores are a key part in GW's marketing system, and an important Point of Sale. They are however, NOT cut in to the secrets of the development or release schedule, and are as late to hear about many things as we all are. At best, we can infer some things about what models are recalled, and what stock Central Distro doesn't choose to restock. Given that Seraphon's Battletome was recalled in this manner half a year ago, and we have nothing to show for it, i would take these as little more than tea leaves at best. Stockomancy.
Wew, there is a large list of newly designated "last chance to buy" models at GW. I clicked it and scrolled through slowly, just dreading to see what lizards were cut. But then i got to the end and, not a single model was on the list. It was all Cities of Sigmar factions like elves, empire and dwarves. We survived another mass extinction event. I'm actually surprised by how much has survived, almost all other factions from the old world got chopped and or deleted hard. But here we are, fine cast and all. No new models either. We're truly just a faction of remembered old reptiles, stuck in a permanent stasis.
The mass extinction events at the store always happen in conjunction with the release of a new Codex/Battletome, so we were never in danger so far.
mwha, a lot of the ones that are listed as "last change to buy" either don't make much sense to remove (e.g. freeguild generals and warrior priests, those are the leaders of the freeguild…). And some of em are even part of the new mercenary battalions released in the new GHB. So I think a bunch of these might simply be getting an updated model alongside their new battletome.
That's true. It more and more makes sense that we'd not be a part of this. But then the implication about new models... A year ago if you told me that Empire and wanderers would get a v2 battle tome and new models before Seraphon, I'd have laughed. Now it's a bit disingenuous to say that's exactly what is happening here, but it's also technically true.
