I don't think "being from the wrong time" is what's causing a problem with comprehending your posts...But yea, if your not from that time, you wouldn't even be able to comprehend what I am talking about.
maby i don't think we have the lore for that at the moment. it would be cool but so much of our stuff is broken i would rather they fix whats there properly before they start making new things. at the very least give us a story to work with and grow. something that could lead to spin off armiesOn the topic: if we'd want to see more Lustrian models, either we'd see a "pruned" and redone range of current models, akin to the generic Death with some news, but we could just as well see future content looking as the Death army we just saw now; Something like an 6th spawning in armor, walking on ground.
My thinking is, if we would want anything major coming the way of the Lizards, it would have to fit their current way. That would mean a new subarmy, with a second book of Lizards, right?
possibly, but we are one of the few factions that currently has ZERO subfactions at all. Fyreslayers have lodges, SCE have the chambers, etc. I would expect that FIRST before a second group of lizards. we aren't like the ogre mawtribes… theres nothing in existence to consolidate us with.On the topic: if we'd want to see more Lustrian models, either we'd see a "pruned" and redone range of current models, akin to the generic Death with some news, but we could just as well see future content looking as the Death army we just saw now; Something like an 6th spawning in armor, walking on ground.

only way to do that with the lore would be to make two "tribes" one of which is stardust memories and the other that is permanently coporealmaby i don't think we have the lore for that at the moment. it would be cool but so much of our stuff is broken i would rather they fix whats there properly before they start making new things. at the very least give us a story to work with and grow. something that could lead to spin off armies
are you kiding we could consalidate into storm cast! that way they get even more stuff to play withpossibly, but we are one of the few factions that currently has ZERO subfactions at all. oooh i like that idea.only way to do that with the lore would be to make two "tribes" one of which is stardust memories and the other that is permanently coporeal
We have constalations that could function as the various subfactions. Fluffwise they already are anyway. It's just that they don't have rules. Add some rules to the already established fluff about those (and expand that a bit, it's currently quite minimal) and you're done.only way to do that with the lore would be to make two "tribes" one of which is stardust memories and the other that is permanently coporeal
Yea its probably before your time.
The original GW guys are 60 + and beyond. Different era. They had completely different influences and ways of understanding things as people do today.
As a gen x, I kind of straddle somewhere in the middle. But if your under 35, you wouldn't even remember how different they use to teach history in those days.
And the Boomer generation was even more different. In those days, no one even placed much emphasis on ancient history, compared to modern history.
The cold war was on and the world was going to end. People were more interested in that stuff. There was no internet. The influences came from what was around them at the time.
But yea, if your not from that time, you wouldn't even be able to comprehend what I am talking about.
Others will nod knowingly however.

well then, why did you lie on your profile?
sigh.
First of all, you shoud really stop to act and write as if you were more wise / competent / knowledgeable than other forumeers. You're not, and it's rude to assume so.
Secondly, i was well alive during the cold war, and alas, Chaos Dwarfs were heavily based upon assyrian / mesopotamian culture.
CD wear Assyrian-style armor and sausage-curled beards. (see below a comparison between Hammurabi and a CD)

Their capital (Zharr-Naggrund) is in the form of a huge zigurrat.

The already cited Lammasu (a winged assyrian deity) was a mount for CD.

Hashut is depicted as a bull and bull is a strong presence in CD culture. And the bull was a strong component in the sumerian epic of Gilgamesh: the God of the underworld is represented as a bull, and Hashut is the father of darkness.

oh, and while we're at it, compare that hat above with this:

If this is not enough, i could try to summon @Karak Norn Clansman , our expert on Chaos Dwarfs.
Because some times I like to tell lies. You got a problem with that?
Good idea, some play testing and greater analysis will be required. Very likely salamanders or razordons should do the trickI'll be splitting the box with a friend. But honostly I'm not sure how most factions are going to kill them. I think that once we see the points they cost, that's going to determine what anyone can do.
