AoS NEW *rumor*

Jeeeeepers there are a lot of insane reveals going on here.

I am thrilled we're getting a tome, but our announcement pales in comparison to those Aelf and Skitarii models. Robo horses with flamethrowers for mouths? Are you kidding me? Seraphon can't compete.

Imagine the possibilities if that modeling talent and budget was spent on our aging Lizards.

Yeah, I mean they were just getting the last old thing out of the way so they can bring out the new model line. I only hope our battletome has some good rules and they do a good job of having the mechanics reflect the flavor.

This looks to me like a warrior spirit, there is no body in the armor.
will this be their endless spell?

I agree with all of this, especially the Light of Eltharion! I loved his lore from WHFB and his moniker was one of the best in the HE range, "Eltharion the Grim," so cool! Very happy to see they're honoring him with such an awesome mini!

The only minor exception for me is Teclis. Only his portion of the model though, the mount is pretty rad! He just looks kinda lame with his hands up like that. Like he's jumping on a trampoline and is excited he got so high...or he's falling and really enjoying it. I would of preferred something more dynamic like what's in the art. Guess that would've looked too much like his old eidolon buddies though...but that's just me. Still an incredible model and I'll probably get it at some point lol. Can't wait to see the rules for them too.

I have like 50 saurus warriors i need to paint. lol Might end up holding on until we hear more about the possible new saurus line
Well, I have a 80 saurus warriors(only 30 assembled, 20 of them painted :D). Before the new year, our local shop selling stuff in under 50% so I manage to grab 3 boxes of Saurus Warriors, 1xSaurus Knights, 1xSkinks and 1xSaurus Guards (since no one where I live is interesting in Seraphon, so they just sitting on a shelf for millennia and marked 50% off).

I was hoping we could aviod getting a terrain piece. The army is already a pain to transport as it is.

Another few bits of speculation...

What would people make of Seraphon instead accessing all other endless spells? A huge cop-out, for sure, but would certainly be an original (bar the aether khemist) way to make them feel magically supreme.

Also not clear whether the terrain piece will have functions around spells, summoning or both, like the EOTG. What do people think?

Regarding Saurus, I don’t have much hope for new kits. The terrain piece literally has four of the current banners stuck in it. I can’t see that they’d use that aesthetic if the units weren’t staying.

Art work they teased is showing a lot of saururs I hope this means their rules got as much love. No models of saururs in the pictures is curious to say the least...

I really hope the ziggurat does the summoning and the Slann can do his own thing.

It looked like a summoning portal or some kind of huge teleport. I think it will be an additional spawning option (like if you want to make 1k army without Slann, but still want to summon - place this "Mesoamerican pyramid" and summon without Slann).upload_2020-1-24_9-23-43.png

"You’ll have the chance to find out how the original refugees from the world-that-was became the celestially charged Starborne, and how the Seraphon are changing into the Coalesced – whatever that means."

What do you think that means guys?
an expatiation to our neer history and a explanation of what happens to the lustria bubles

If I had to guess, something to do with the established lore of how dreamed-up Seraphon will eventually 'coalesce' into physical beings if they are allowed to remain in the Mortal Realms long enough.

You heard it here first: The Coalesced will be one of our sub-factions that sacrifices summoning or magical ability for increased combat brutality.
