IF the slann is included in an all monsters list.. Maybe engine of the gods will be included. But you could be running Scar Vet on carnasaur buffing other carnasaurs and wounds will take precedence over model count for objective grabbing giving bastiladons more defensive type viability?? doubtful, but it could happen.
 
I'm seeing everyone complain about the shield being gone... a 4+ ignore rend -1 being replaced b ya 3+ is a direct buff. there is no situation in which it isnt. we arent losing the shield... its being incorporated into the statline, similar to how Fyreslayers 4+ FNP just became a second wound.... thats effectivly the same, math wise... our is strictly better, math wise.

Yes when the Rend is zero or 2 or greater it's better but the problem is all of our stuff is already really squishy this barely makes us okay. If they do this for warriors and that's it just one wound and a four up save they're still going to be absolutely useless we really needed the Rend protection in addition to a better save

As if warriors weren’t terrible as they are...

let’s hope that this trend doesn’t continue. but if worst comes to worst we can do fan errata

even at rent -1 its the same... so no, its strictly better. its a buff. all anyone is really upset about is that its not a crazy big buff.

Which is what I said the thing is we need a really big buff if they take away all of our Shenanigans which everyone says they should we will do nothing anymore especially if this is what we can look forward to for the rest of our warscroll.
 
Really hoping this isn't a sign of them just wanting to make us middling all-around. But what most of us have been saying is that small buffs with us keeping our shenanigans is what we really need to be competitive. So hopefully that's the case. I guess we have to wait and see what happens...
 
Come to think of it the new SC skink box if half the battle force box from 2 years ago... half the skink, half the terradon, and half the beast/hero sort of!! At probably less then half the price!!!
 
Guys: what if they are continuing rend immunity as an alliegence ability? I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if it was similar to what @Erta Wanderer and I wrote up awhile back

edit: my guess is that Star seraphon will get rend -1 immunity.

as for why it will be an alliegence ability, it’s to iconic a part of our warscrolls to simply delete into the void without some replacement. Especially as those shields are so integral to our lore and models, it’s unlikely that they won’t get some form of replacement.

So ignore rend if Slann Dreamland lizards, add rend if real lizards? Now this is something I could get behind.

I doubt it’s far fetched and it does make sense, as celestial bodies would be harder to damage while real bodies could output more damage.

Should I do some browsing to try and find any leaks? maybe that weird Russian sight might has them up

They did also buff the damage of the oldblood significantly. Honestly, a 4+ save on saurus would be a pretty big deal. It's not like everything has rend -1, and that's reducing losses by 25% vs units with no rend, and 1/6 of losses vs rend -2. I'm just hoping they get the extra attack in baseline and don't need 30+ models in a unit to be good. If they reduced the max size to 30 models and made them hit harder without needing a horde bonus for it, that'd be enough, IMO.

The command ability is "Wrath of the Seraphon" - Combat phase: pick one saurus unit wholly within 18". That unit gets +1 to hit rolls for that phase. Cannot apply more than once

+1 attack with the great blade, warblade, and maul.
Spear gained +1 to hit, but lost 1 rend; it's now strictly the worst in terms of damage, but you get a 2" reach. Hit and Wound values for the Maul were swapped from 3+/4+ to 4+/3+. Great Blade and War Maul are now strictly better than the alternatives since they have a higher maximum output and higher average output against anything with a 6+ save or better.
Gains an extra hit on 6s to hit instead of having a 5" bubble of re-roll 1s to wound (which was useless because it only affected models in range).

So The oldblood is significantly better at fighting now, and maybe worth the 120 points, but they still might drop him to ~100 points based on a comparison with a chaos lord, which has significantly better output, but -1 to saves.
