I'm gonna vomit if they think I'm worth more than fucking 510. Monstrous rampages and being a Totem aside. I still can't get any better than a 3+ to hit with my jaws. I'm looking forward to seeing what gw thinks is okay before the entire community laughs them off the planet.

Gordrakk wasn't even worth the points last edition and they're raising it more? A megaboss on mawkrusha is worth more than me with less than half the wounds?
At these idiotic point hikes for orruks seraphon is gonna get the shaft so fucking hard I can feel it
 
I don't think it is useful to compare new points to current points. With the points changing for everything our current concept of what things are worth will need to be adjusted.
 
Honestly, it's sad to think that for all the talk of MSUs being king in this edition, Skaven hordes are looking really strong this edition without their warscroll battalions.

Meanwhile, most Seraphon units can barely function with them at the best of times, and even then are heavily reliant on active support to be effective.

well thats how it goes. we had a good run about a year of us being good when no one could play. much better then i expected

I wouldn't call it a good run to be honest. A fun one maybe, since I got a few games in with my local gaming buddies, but to me good would imply being able to put together a decent take-all-comers list without coming across as a tryhard, even after accounting for the faction's inherent strengths and weaknesses.

In any case, apart from dreading the nightmare affair of painting over 150 skaven, I'm looking forward to planning out three other armies that can play into the MSU game (Melusai DoK, Ogor Mawtribes, Blood Knight SBGL).
 
Ranged will rule this edition without SWEEPING points changes, and our support heroes don't like enemy ranged firepower. Especially given the fact that the vast majority of people play with little terrain, which has suddenly become VERY important for LoS blocking purposes, like in 40k.

I'm not optimistic. The removal of our Warscroll batallions and the reduction of number of larger units is a sledgehammer nerf followed by the nerfbat, no two ways about it.

I feel like a lot of people over react in our community. I remember in 2.0 a lot of Seraphon players were saying we are useless. Then summoning made us on of the top factions in the game. Then we got our new book and lost summoning so now we were going to be helpless. Then we stayed in the top tier as our Skink walls and various CP/stacking buff tricks kept us at the top. Now we have these changes, but I'm sure we will stay at the top. Our FoS got a lot of buffs even if our Skink blobs shrank. While Thunderlizard is looking to be extremely powerful. At the end of the day we have the cheapest screens in the game. With a lot of utility to play the objectives.

mmm go back and look bud the things we said where useless are still useless. we never said seraphon where terrible(or at least not the reasonable ones) we said the following.
1 the following warscrolls are trash Ripperdactles razordons EotG ark of sotek eturnity warden trogladon and skinks. of all of those we where really only wrong about skinks. oh and by the way these where all the models we have been collecting as they where the good things in our book so many people where mad that their collections where no longer playable
2 summoning was horribly mangled without fixing any of the problems we had with it. this one is true
3 all our fun mechanics have been replaced with +1` buffs. mostly true
4 guard are just ablative wounds and that feels bad
5 coalesed has several stuning problems with one of them being a strait debuff to your army if you take it.

sure we probably complained a bit more then was nesisery but much of what we said was and still is true
 
How strange that the Oldblood on Carnosaur went to 270 and the Scar Veteran on Carnosaur only went to 215 despite the fact it's already the better unit
 
Sad the skinks are still unit of 10 and our Trog is so expensive even with points going up across the board in most armies. Time to make Lemonade:D

lol this is just silly.

Though the bound spells dissappearing isn't exactly surprising. Endless spells being controllable kinda removes the point of having that being a faction specific ability.

As a sidenote, why the hell are they going to points that are multiples of 5? 115, 95, etc. those are annoying to fit into anything.

On the bright side; at least they finally split the bastilladon into two costs. So you know, there's like one whole minor decision in that mess that's sorta good.
