it could be or they could wait another month it wouldn't be the first time. shur KO and CoT got a lightning fast release but cities and orks and grots all took a month after the first reveal
Issue with nerfing that though is that you essentially take away the sole reason for bringing a shadowstrike host, as the other benefits it brings are negliceable. If they'd do that I would expect some buff in return simply because if they don't they might as well just remove the entire battalion.
hay the d6 pre game movement is great. and one of the best counters to a alpha strike army. but i think they are just going to rewright the entire battalion if we get to keep it at all
I don't think that 2D6 is worth making an entire battalion though. Especially as the bulk of the battalion consists of harmless fodder. I mean, it's nice to have your fodder in a decent position, but not exactly worth an entire battalion
It would be if it was a dirt cheap one. Wouldn't mind paying 80 for a CP, drop consolidation and a relic. But not worth giving up the current one, that's for damn sure.
Got a feeling we could see a lore article either this afternoon or tomorrow (probably tomorrow) ready for pre order announcement on Sunday and a faction focus on Monday. As the Alves are probably gonna be March it makes sense to get our book out early Feb.
Get ur games in, I'm feeling that all of the battalions are getting big rewrites to be more CP and drop changing, less "build around."
Still no news... I'm honestly so close to just going and buying a start collecting box or something lol
I mean, it's still a great value box and no doubt the Carno, Trog, Skinkpriest/Oldblood will be useful. Have at it. Im still anticipating a new SC and really hope it's Knights/Warriors and a Scar vet of some sort. Either on Cold One or even a Full Carno kit..... *Sigh*
Probably what @ILKAIN said, and likely change their weapon profiles. If they keep the Lance's doing MW on 6+ to Wound, then they'll likely not change the weapon much. I'd like to see them get better impact hits. Like rerolling wounds on charges, and keeping the 6+ MW on lances....
Agree with this. This honestly feels like a minimum though. I like the potential weapon profile rework too. I honestly wouldn't mind a point increase either if their weapons are buffed in addition. Right now they just feel so useless considering what they are.
I purposely aim low end... I don't have high expectations so I cant be disappointed. if I was feeling generous I would say 3rd wound, +3" move, MW on unmod 6 to hit, and 2" lance range
meh, their blazing lances ability definitly will get changed, right now you need 12 knights for it to proc once in a given charge. That's not just bad, it's borderline useless as even if you play a knight heavy list you'l still not see more than a handfull of procs per game. At minimum I'd expect it to be on a unmodified 6 to hit during a charge if only to put it in line with other similar abilities. It'd still be fairly underwhelming, but at least the ability will now actually trigger more than a handfull of times... Aside from that, I would expect our banners to be changed into something more usefull. As for their actual stat-line, only minor tweaks are needed there. Unless they turn them into full blown heavy cavalry I don't see them getting many buffs there.
I like the idea of re-rolling hits (or at least "1s") on a charge. I'd expect them to get 2 attacks on hand weapons.
If they improve them quite heavily, I will find myself in a position where I have to conver the current ones for sure (already got 3 converted from fantasy, when the heroes were super good).
